So are they strictly enforcing this? Can a foreign parent of a Thai child with Non O visa enter Thailand? What are my options?

Hi ubonjoe. Is it possible to get the Non O multiple entry based on Thai child in KL if I’m a Malaysian citizen? I know they only issue single entry visa. Will they be more tolerant towards a Malaysian citizen? Any past confirmed reports of people getting the multiple entry visa this way? Thanks.

Hi again. Is Penang using the same online appointment booking system as KL? I emailed them but could not get any reply from them. Anyone here have any info on this issue? Thank you

Ok. I’ll take a trip to Penang then. Thanks again.

Thanks for all your replies. I want to apply for the Non O based on having a Thai child. What about Kuala Lumpur? Has anyone from this forum ever managed to get a multiple entry from KL?

Same requirements for both cases.
Yes she does have to be with you. It is required to prove your have a relationship and that she living in the same province as you are when you apply.
I'm thinking of getting the Non O 90 day single entry visa for my next trip here. I understand that I can then apply for the one year extension in Chiangmai immigration? Any additional requirements for this?
How does the one year extension work? Can I stay in Thailand for one more year without leaving the country? Thanks.

No sure about what Chiang Mai immigration will do. You would need to check with them about it.
You will use the standard TM7 form used for all extension. Your child will need to be with you when you apply. You will need their birth certificate plus a copy of their house book registry. Plus the normal copies of your passport pages.
Ok. I will check with them about it. Does the same apply if I want to apply for the 60 day extension to a 30 day visa exempt entry? i.e. All the relevant documents and my child needs to come along too? She is in school on weekdays

Yes you can extend your 30 day visa exempt entry for 60 days. Bangkok immigration will even do the 60 day extension after you get the 30 day extension of it.
Hi ubonjoe.
I'm in Chiangmai now. I have a child with my Thai girlfriend (not married). Already did the 30 day extension to my 30 day visa exempt entry. Can I get another 60 day extension at Chiangmai immigration? What form and documents do I need for this? Thanks.

Flight ban until June 30. What about land borders. Can we enter Thailand via land in the near future? Any updates or announcements on this matter? Hope they open the land borders before June 30.
