I have seen about a dozen reviews of the place on other forums and all were very positive except one.

The other weekend i know for a fact the hotel was full. So i think its doing pretty well.

This chap isnt so handsome but has a fab body and creases in all the right places!

The places I go arre VERY sticky ... I go to hang out and relax ... do some drinking .. practice my Thai around average gay Thai folks ...

with the right person - quite happy to stay home weekdays............weekends are for exploring and doing stuff.

I know what you mean, and the temptation involved- but you really don't want to mess about with those who have as much power as Thai policemen do without being relatively sure of the result. Better to find a gay man who happens to be a policeman (and I have met a few!) than to go around searching for a policeman in uniform who happens to be gay.

This particular one seems to like eating at the malaysia hotel in civvies - almost always alone or with other thais (bike -taxi drivers - food stall owners etc)and various times during day.

The uniform group normally stays inside in morning or late night.

So he could be doing a bit of naughty business on side financially or hunting for something illegal or just gay. Im betting its not my lucky day lol

My advice would be to know this guy for at least a year before you even think of moving.

Sorry, saw the title of the thread and all I could think about was a couple of policemen coming into the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, having the music turned off and saying ''Hello, hello, hello, what's all this then? You lot don't look very gay to me. I'm arresting you all under Section 6 of the Not Looking Gay Enough Act, 1998. I think you'd better accompany me to the station.''

This month at your local gay venue you will find a splendid new mag called SPICE. It's glossy, it's all colour, it's got the best gay maps around and articles galore. I think a great addition for the gay community.

I would rather wake up every morning and know that somebody who had wronged me was in a little cage eating coakroach infested food and maybe getting no sex for the rest of their life than let them have a drug induced pain free sleep.

I dont think Thailand is poor is terms of ability to live happily off what they earn. Where i do think they are poor is in the quailty of education - especially at the higher levels.

I also wish they would make alcohol a hel_l of a lot more expensive (tax?) as over the last 6 years of staying in so called "poor" villages and mixing with locals in bangkok and other cities it is staggering the amount on their income that is wasted on alcohol.

anyone know if the Icon group plan to reopen hotels?

New to the forum but not to thailand. Looks like a great place u have here!

I will be in Thialnd from 11th may onwards for 3 weeks- starting in BKK & then on to Pattaya & Ko samed(hopefully). So far i`ve just bought the flight ticket, so anyone with any good accomodation deals or recommendations i would love to hear from you.

Anyone wants to hook up for a drink/meal too let me know. Im coming alone & have no bf there.
