I would be travelling from the UK, so would get a 30 day visa on arrival,  but are you suggesting I'm better off applying for a tourist visa here in the UK prior to travel? Its just the Uk police report I possibly, could have a problem with ! Thank you once again.

If I was to arrive on the visa on arrival in Bkk, would it be possible to use an agent in Pattaya to be able to secure me a one years retirement visa ? I have done it a few years ago  but I accept times have changed.

If I may ask one last question please, the divorce was in 2017, would the amphur of sent the documents to the family  juvenile court as a matter of course? And can I just turn up with original passport, divorce cert etc , and request the court copy? Again thank you all.

Some help and advice please, I'm undergoing a very harrowing time at the moment and shall be contacting a solicitor here in the UK, however here is my question,  following an uncontested divorce at a local Amphur in Thailand it was agreed by my wife that I shall have sole custody of our son, all signed and deliverd.  Would this be recognised in UK law ? After all the divorce is recognised under UK law.

Thank you very much indeed for the reply. I was just confused as I had read that VFS where no longer scanning documents. Would there be any benefit in her posting them to me and me submitting them in Sheffield or are VFS going to ask for the documents when she has sent them to me. Again thank you very much for your help.

I am in the process of applying for a settlement visa for my Thai wife. I am in the UK and shall be submitting supporting documents  directly Sheffield.  Can my wife submit her TB cert , IELTS cert, birth cert and indeed her divorce cert when she does her biometrics in BKK or do I need to submitt them to Sheffield along with all the other supporting Doc'.
