Yes Thais do it too your right about that, but that does not mean we need foreign idiots doing it. But seriously this problem happens a lot in the UK. Been watching some CCTV show and one of the things happening a lot is peeing wherever they want. I can remember this kind of behaviour too where I came from usually drunk people. Best thing is to just catch and punish maybe they will remember for next time.
I see thais doing it on trees, beside the road. Nothing wrong with it.
But not all over private vehicles.
Filthy, rude farangset.

As my gf always says, buying a woman a drink in a bar is the start of negotiations for buying the woman for the night. In this case she charged 150bht, that's lady drink price for a hooker.
How did you meet your girlfriend?
I don't agree with your assessment. I usually buy 10 to 30 ladydrinks per night out for different "ladies", but don't buy them for the night.
I think of it as a tip for them entertaining me dancing naked or topless. It is a good deal. I don't care if they drink orange juice or tequila, whatever they like, up to them.

Suspended sentence you're having a laugh. Farcical and obscene.
A two year suspended sentence.
It comes with a two year visa.

I feel sorry for the Europeans in this drama.
The Brits were the ones wanting this divorce and now cant even agree with each other.

Well I think we had that discussion at the time. The first stomp was manslaughter the subsequent ones were murder! It might depend on whose law we were dealing with on the technical terms. Either way, being allowed to 'walk free' from a corpse with bloodied boots is rather lenient.
The stomping report was false. Someone just posted that on facebook. It didn't happen.
Ben died from his head smashing into the bar after being attacked by Jose. We knew this and posted it here at the time and the Australian coroner later confirmed it.

Not murder, technically manslaughter in UK terms. Quite possible, with a good lawyer, that he could have got away with a similar sentence in the UK. Don't know what the final charge was.
In Thailand, with a brown envelope and pleading guilty, could have been found guilty on a lesser charge.
That brown envelope was stuffed with 300,000 baht.
Despite what a TVposter claimed, he only spent two nights in prison (probably while the money was being transferred).
We saw him, filmed him walking around freely, even spoke to him in the street. We have more footage but the bloke filming it didn't want to release it as from the angle it would be possible for the person filming to be identified by immigration cctv and he didn't want any problems with his visa.
We posted the footage on one of these threads. He was with his Hooters girlfriend.

Well compared to being kicked in the head to death she was okay! More the question, what happened to the American guy? Still in remand or did a Thaksin?
He's out and about, maybe back in Miami, check his facebook
he got a two year sentence fully suspended.
So he is supposed to report in to the pattaya police periodically over that two year period.
But he seems to have disappeared and moved out from his previous accommodation.
Anyone seen him?

the baht buses keep their destination a mystery and
No, they have numbers 1-6 on the roof stating what root they are on.
Google it.
Yes they do take private trips which is also handy if you are in a big group, or there are no taxis around.
Best transport system in thailand, perhaps the world. trams and trains are not as customer friendly with only designated stops.
They can be a bit annoying if you are driving behind, but no biggie.

Well at the moment they are horribly polluting, and seriously impede traffic moving (stop where they like, park where they like, mostly at the junctions). But the large coaches are even more of a problem.
They stop where the customer likes, it is very handy and cheap.
A tram would block traffic as much or more.
Transportation is one of the things pattaya does well. taxis, songteows and wins everwhere.
Bins and rubbish, a fricken disgrace.

Where does their rubbish go?
The toilets go into the sea, as does the dirty, greasy dishwater. Not sure where the rubbish goes but suspect into the sea as well.

i dont think this is practical for pattayas demographics. Imagine school kids and the normal citzens having to share a tram with a large group of drunken whoremongers and their slutty escorts.
It happens already on the baht buses but on a smaller scale.
Baht buses are best for pattaya.
if they want to make pattaya more tourist friendly they could provide bins and clear away the piles of rubbish in every soi.

When I mentioned the above quote it actually was the above quote, the one you use when attempting to slag of Brits, killing people, brawling etc, you know the one. It's good to see your copy and paste skills are up to scratch. By the way I don't follow you, so don't flatter yourself, I just have a good memory. And my wife is fine, thanks for asking, appreciate it.

oh, for someone so dedicated to posting on tv i think your need to work on your presentation skills. It wasnt very clear.
The quote you refer to doesnt mention brits, maybe you are reading too much into it. Cant see you calling out any other racism.
I will send you my personal facebook so you can follow me on that.

I have never mentioned english personal hygeine before. I only brought it up because of the irony of a brit complaining of others personal hygeine.
But thanks for following me, keep up the support mate and say hello to the missus.

er, you do realise that the majority of boiler room boys who steal life savings from their own countrymen are brits dont you?
8 hours ago, bahtboy said:I'll guarantee that these apprehended individuals were absolutely up to no good.
What do you suspect they were up to? Vandalising ancient walls, drink driving killing the locals, brawling with locals in hua hin, stealing from 7\11, making fake rape claims or refusing to pay for their drinks?
8 hours ago, bahtboy said:OK, call me racist, but it's their way of living and their general dishevelled, grubby, unkempt appearance that is abhorrent to me. There, said it, and feel better now!
You do realise brits are not exactly famous for their personal hygeine, bathing every other day and their body odour. Maybe your friends were just trying hard to assimilate.
yes, you are a racist.

Looks to me like the air quality is about the same as Chiang Mai and a whole lot better than Bangkok.
bangkok is deadly, chiangmai is usually filthy.
It is sunday, once all those factories fire up tomorrow it will be worse.
Also it depends where the pollution reader is located.

I live in the countryside, in Rayong Province, just on the border with Chon Buri Province, a good choice I think. close enough to everything, but far enough away to avoid the crowds. I have been visiting Thailand for around 35 years. My Thai wife and I married some 21 years ago and so she is delighted after so many years living outside the country, to be back home. Interestingly, she misses the UK a lot more than I ever do, curios that.
The air quality is poisonous in rayong, what made you move there?
You say it is close to everything? What is there? Where are you? Bowin?
Congrats on your long marriage. Where and how did you meet her?

On the railway bye pass near to Soi Khao Noi there is a regular checkpoint and the times I have witnessed many Thai people on Motorbikes and in cars and pickups many many times being "pulled" and Myself just waved through is countless.
In fact I have never been asked to pull over once since they started this check in that location and I use this road daily.
IMHO the BIB are judged wrong whatever they do and simply cannot win!
An attempt a a bit of thai bashing as it as known. As usual, with little resemblance to any reality.
I call troll.
I thought it was far fetched when i read the op. Like me, no one else on this thread seems to be having the same experience as the op. Most are happy that the police are getting drunks, drugs and weapons off the streets and enforcing road rules saving lives.
No one else has paid for something they didnt do. As if you would. Come on.
The farang para legal on a motorbike seems a bit odd to me also. Lawyers drive cars, never seen one on a motorbike. I also know for a fact, that it is a profeesion only thais can do. I know because I looked into doing a law degree here. Was told no way, i couldnt even do the course.

It's even worse up there regarding infrastructure. It's cleaner sure but the taxi cartels are brutal around there. They would make Phuket drivers blush with their extreme pricing.
Black outs even more so than Phuket.
Back roads are just as bad with potholes.
Everything you mention is lacking worse than Phuket.
Thai's call it local charm.
When were you there last? The main beach road is perfect. No potholes.
it is pricey, but I think that is a deliberate policy to discourage the riff raff. It much mnicer than Phuket which is full of prostitutes.
The self proclaimed property expert writing the article doesnt seem to have much of an idea though. The town there is kok Kloi, not an island Koh Kloi as he repeated writes. I wonder if he had actually been there?

When I get stopped - approximately 1 out of 3 checkpoints - I show my pink ID, my 5y drivers licence, I am friendly but not overly so and I am sent off after the briefest of checks and have never once been asked or threatened about giving tea money.
Which begs the question: what are YOU doing wrong, dear OP?
Sent from my SM-A730F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
That is my experience also. Only paid out once in the last 8 years. That was for drink driving, paid 6000 and on my way. I always use taxis when on the grog now, they are very cheap in pattaya, despite some people complaining.
Just buy two less girl drinks and it is covered.
If they were not everywhere, i would probably risk it again, so it certainly keeps me from breaking the law. the stops also find guns and drugs often which is also a good thing.
If you aint doing nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about. i would never pay a fine if i wasnt doing something wrong.
