What happens with my situation; 5 times I have been issued with a speeding tickets. The car was mine over 18 months ago, I part exchanged for my new car, still I get these fines through the post. I've notified the police. I've filled a form in. I have notified some members of my wife's family who are police. I have also notified the garage I bought the car. but still I keep receiving these tickets the only person who doesn't realize he has committed an offence is the guy who has my old car. Every one keeps telling me not to worry . Apparently here in Thailand When you sell your car on the ownership doesn't change . What if this guy kills someone "Oh I'm not worried but I could be". "I wait in anticipation" .

see it often Thais with a passenger no helmet.

You'll never get the real truth of who is to blame but I guarantee you it won't be the bike rider.

Good to see the farang defenders warming up on here.
Hate to break it to you all, but westerners can and do drive badly as well...
But still better than most Thais

Agreed, always the most frustrating thing is buying food or drink while wandering somewhere and then having to carry the litter for another 30 minutes until you can find somewhere to properly dispose of it. Pretty much the only consistent rubbish bins I've seen have been outside 7/11's.
OH!!! and theres not many of them are there?

Unfortunately there has been a number of accidents that has resulted in death on that stretch of road. To blame for the accident was the young man, for hiring a bike without proper documents yes the Thai bike shop.

Ive noticed here in Thailand that there's a lack of history outside of Thailand not taught . Namsai probably doesn't know about the happenings of world war two. and maybe her parents don't know either we are not in the habit of ramming this kind of thing down our childrens throats . Find the people who are selling this kind of memorabilia and shut them down. Please don't come down to heavy on this innocent minded Thai child.

Do they realize that because of the devaluation of the pound to the baht, 19,000 baht per month Uk Government pension wont meet the said requirements.

stopped going to that beach was told couldn't hire a bed unless we bought food Told them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine. Was going to order something after an hour or so but Thai mentality wasn't awake at 11 am.

Well done Mr Dutch. I too was charged 300 baht extra I went back to see the doctor and asked why previously I was charged 300bt and now its 600bt The Doctor said, " because your a farang" she snatched the bill from me and cancelled the fee rudely . I was paying up to 3,000 baht per month for 8years for charges plus pharmacy medication My wife now picks up the tablets from a pharmacy in Rangsit and pays no more than 400 baht and that's for two month supplies What are these hospitals getting away with.

10 years I've been doing a marriage visa, no problems. To get in and out of Immigration office within 1hour 30 minutes you've done well. Fresh pics every year are needed.

cont..... No licensce….no tax.... no helmet 4 police men came. Back at the police station the one bike became 16. Knives were in the mobs hands and this was outside Lumpini police station I had to pay 2000 baht otherwise I would have died.

When you are a farang driving in Thailand its not only how good you drive. Its also how bad the driving is around you but you will never catch the stupid Irresponsible drivers because the police don't come out of those little boxes on the junctions . More beat cops and motor police, bikes and cars

should be an easier simple system, I'm not saying its difficult but its confusing . Who fills in the TM30 form if I visit an hotel in Pattaya ? Is it myself or is it the Hotel manager? . Who is responsible for making sure it gets sent to the Immigration?. If it doesn't get sent to the Immigration who is the one who gets the fine? O
