They are trying to make money from you. If you have your documents from your school, the school will have made sure to add all needed documents. In fact, 3 years ago one of the touts at the front of the consulate in Vientiane said I was missing a document and needed to pay I think 5,000 baht for him to get it for me. I decided not to and sure enough, I received my visa.
Basically if you have used a good enough school in Thailand, they will have given you all of the relevant documents

school said that document is enough to apply. so I try to scum me. thank you

I just applied for and got y 3rd ED visa in Vientiane last week, nothing related to a bank in any which way is ever needed, apart from money to buy the thing lol.. Which of course you can draw out at an ATM from any bank.. 2,000 baht

I appied the ED visa and they didn't ask me about the bank statement.

But person who have service to take photo and copy passport,  they asked me that you don't have study score paper from school and paper from police.

They said you will have problem because you don't have 2 paper.

Do you think did I need it or not?

    thank you

    You heard some incorrect info.

If leaving from either airport in Bangkok they do not charge the 500 baht fine for one day of overstay. More than one day and it is 500 baht for every day.

At other airports and at border crossing you will be fined 500 baht for one day of overstay.

If I leave from airport in Bangkok, one day of overstay is ok but need to pay if it is 2 day of overstay ? correct?

You mentioned cooking classes. There are definitely culinary schools that can arrange education visas. A Google search can find some of them. However, I think they are for genuine students looking to start a career as a chef. Outside of the language schools, I do not think there are many courses designed primarily to help you get a visa.

I need to ask different school to get ED visa.

    thank you

If the school is registered with the Ministry of Education you can.

I will find the school which is not language school.

but if I want to study language in Bangkok, there is other course like germen and spanish which my current school don't have.

Do you think I can get germen and spanish in Bangkok?

    thank you

The only advantage I can see to a new passport, is so that when you enter Thailand, all those visas are not staring the IO in the face.  And it seems to me, they closely examine every page.  They can still see your history on the computer, though.

If moving to Chang Mai, there is a "self defense" course taught by retired Thai Army guys (who are purported to out-rank the immigration folks) who are known to get no-hassle ED visas for their students.  Another option in that area is a Non-O for Volunteering, though it is reported you must contribute some cash plus time as part of the package (via an agent/lawyer).

Hi, I can not apply same language course so I'm looking for other study corse.

I think there are many school in Bangkok. Do you know other school which is not language school.

    thank you

Not sure about that. The may keep records in a nationwide database.

I think it will have record what I study. can not have same language course.

If I get ED visa 4 or 5 times at language school, and then if I want to study at cooking school, Its different course.

Can I get ED visa for cooking?

    thank you

Getting a new passport would not clear your record at the Ministry of Education since they keep records of your studies. Possibly the same for immigration.

If I change my school, move to chiang mai from here, its different immigration.

it means, no record in ministry of education?

    thank you

    Moved to here.

You should not have a problem getting another non-ed visa if you change your studies to another language.

OK, I will apply ED visa again. but if I change my passport, there is no stamp so can I apply same course again? because I want to stay in Thailand more than 5 year. or need to apply other VISA? thank you

  10. Hi, I've been staying in Thailand for 4 years and half. (1 year half as tourist visa and 3 year ED visa.)

I want to apply ED visa again to study different language course.

Is it easy to get ED visa again? if not, do I need to change my passport? ( I have 7 page visa stamp left in my passport)

    thank you
