automatics can be driven like a stick if you have the right type and know how to 'kick down' properly...vehicles with an overdrive button are a gift from heaven, release the button and the car downshifts just like a stick.
ive had around 15 cars in my life and only had problems with 1 automatic....had two sticks in my life and the clutch wore out on both...
nissan sr20de engines cut off the ac compressor when you kickdown...
ever try a v8 with a B&M shift kick? totally awesome...
sports car = stick
sedan= auto

chiang kong is what you need, its an area that specializes in car parts, especially whole engines....its about 4 acres and a hundred or so shops....located off of bangna trad....its huge
an sr20de goes for around 30,000 baht, a det goes for around 45000

Nothing wrong with the hygiene at the salad bar.
They put a chemical on some of the food in the salad bar to keep it fresh, but it makes a small number of people with weak stomachs feel ill. Most people have no reaction at all.
that is the biggest load of tosh I ever heard , they spray the crops sure, but sizzler dont spray there salad bar.
Absolutely...what as load of old tosh!
And what, pray, do you mean by "hygiene"???????????????
sizzler puts something in the salad dressing to make you full...for real...everytime i go there i feel unusually bloated and its not because of over eating...

your doubt is wrong...

the only time you have to worry about points getting subtracted is when they take your license and put a sticker on the back...
i have two stickers on mine:
1. sticker 'A' ... no seatbelt... (yellow sticker)
2. sticker 'D' ... drunk driving (red sticker)
i think its rather funny they chose to give 'D' for drunk...
nowadays if i know i can make a clean get away, i dont even stop ....

if you dont mind an older truck, the old style isuzu with the 2.3 engine was legendary for good fuel economy.
-
volvo station wagon...and they are pretty quick too...
-
consumption for all these trucks are about the same when going over 90kph... they are all common rail.
toyota
isuzu
nissan
chevy
mitsubishi
ford/mazda
prices are in order with most expensive on top...(or close to it)

find the fuse box both inside the passenger compartment and the box in the engine bay....give the relays a good tapping with your fingers...sometimes the relays stick.
wiggle the gear shift lever around a bit too, too make sure the sensor isnt sticking and preventing the car from starting... try starting it in neutral.
ummm what kind of mazda is it?
-
cant you just use windows movie maker? or adobe premiere pro?
'DVD author' to make the buttons.

BMW E30 - 50-70k baht
Nissan 200sx 160K (the old one with a pointy nose)
Nissan Cefiro 125k
BMW's like to leak when it rains.
if your gonna build from the ground up, id get the E30...they have a 50/50 weight ditribution like all model bmw's, but if changing the engine that would be a different story...but the SR20 engine is a perfect weight match....SR20DET or VET would be sweet.
i still like this model, they look really good when fixed up, especially the 2 door versions.

ahhh, but the keywords are buying 'after' it depreciates and chevies drop like a rock in bangkok. i think parts will be ok. i know that other models are a pain to get spare parts for though.
i had a nissan bluebird sss that i couldnt find rear shocks for or body parts for... so i just got the shocks rebuilt instead....the body ship i took it to actually cut metal and welded it on to fix the front fender.
the biggest thing id probably worry about are the radiator and hoses...and brake pads once a year.
i figure after it depreciates to around 700k it should be ripe for picking...
-
im sure they keep spare parts in stock...and yes, they would have to order just for me if there is something that isnt in stock.
-
looking at a couple on te web and they do seem rather nice, especialy after they depreciate to a reasonable amount and I have heard only good thingsabout chevy's customer service in thailand.
-
whenever you send something to thailand from another country, you ABSOLUTELY , POSITIVELY have to declare it as a 'personal item' and 'gift'.
send through normal post and never send via fedex if trying to avoid taxes, fedex wil always get charged and pass it on to you.
if your sending from the US send it via USPS ... not UPS

if your ever in bangkok i can look at it for you, more than likely it is a defective transistor(s)
or one of the op-amps.
the output section of most amps have trasistors that work in parrallel, meaning that there could be 1 or more on the positive side and 1 or more on the negative side.
if 1 is bad per polarity , all the transistors must be changed for the given polarity or will not be stable.
no need to send it to china, a transistor cost about 25 baht.
the transistors are usually matching pairs one for negative side(speaker goes in)
and
a transistor for the positive side (speaker goes out)
both tied into ground .
if it is an opamp that has gone bad, this will have the greatest effect on sound quality...and a replacement should be matched to the original.
or it may just be a bad rca cable
-
sundrying will do that....turn your clothes inside out when hanging them out to dry.

thanks guys, im looking to buy and keep for a long time...im looking for something with a big engine so i can install CNG or LPG later and still retain a good amount of power down the road.
so its fairlydependable huh? I think after depreciation it would be a great choice for the used car market....looking to keep it for around 5 years.
