We just came back to the province from a 3 day trip to BKK. We went with 2 kids, 3 and 10 years old. If you need a hotel at a good location, i could recommend IBIS Riverside. If you book the Family room (around 1700฿/night), you will have a bunk bed for the kids and a Playstation 4 in the room????. Nice garden restaurant at the riverfront, good view, long and clean swimming pool and good access to the riverboats and BTS. Don't book the breakfast, there are many good and cheap options outside the hotel. And there is a 7/11 too.
We made a Tuktuk ride , it was a Hello Kitty Tuktuk????. Ask the guy from the restaurant near the street or the motorbike taxi guys. Ask for the price before you start the trip. We went to a nearby market (2x60 ฿) and next day to Lumpini Park (one way approx. 250-300฿). Lumpini park is just 15min. away, there you can rent a bicycle outside and drive around at the park.
And last but not least, i can recommend plane spotting at Suvarnabhumi airport (see map). Be sure to follow the red arrows because there is no U-turn if you come from PTT station. You can eadily park on the side line, great view of the planes, you get one every 2-4 minutes, Check flightradar app for arriving/departing flights.

Hi, i did this procedure just 2-3 month after our son was born in 2018. We are not married yet.
If i remember right, I had to go to the local Amphoe first to receive kind of a birth certificate. First they said they can not do it (as they wanted some extra money). I could not believe what happened and right away at their office, i called my embassy (i talked to them before about this topic), the representant of the embassy wanted to talk with the person at the Amphoe, and a few minutes later they could hand out the birth certificate for the normal price (just a couple of hundred Baht).
Than i had to take a lawyer and he had to get an appointement at the court in order to receive the KoRo11 form which is the document stating that i am the legal father.
About 2 month later, we could go to court, they just asked a few questions, and shortly after we got the KoRo11. The costs for the lawyer was about 20'000 Baht incl. cost for court.
This year i learnt, that I need a new KoRo11 every year, i had to go to the relevant amphoe near the immigration office and had to pay just 2 (!) Baht for the renewal of the KoRo11 form.

I am wondering too what we will get and when! I hope not the experimental things from Russia or China! The following quote shows, what the Swiss embassy wrote to swiss expats in an email yesterday. I guess expats from other countries will be handled in a similar way:
"
3. Vaccine
Many of you have been contacting us regarding vaccine possibilities in Thailand. Unfortunately, it is still too early for concise answers. Here is what I know:
Swiss nationals in Thailand are part of the country's resident population. It will therefore be primarily the task of the Thai authorities to procure vaccines for the foreign population residing here. My team is in daily contact with the relevant Thai authorities and hospitals to obtain the latest update. I am also personally in direct contact with Health Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Anutin on this issue, who personally assured me that Thailand has an interest in vaccinating the foreign resident population in unison with its own nationals.
Thailand has been purchasing vaccines from Sinovac (China) and AstraZeneca (UK-Sweden). The first delivery will arrive in February and May respectively. But according to our information, no vaccine has been approved by the Thai Food & Drug Administration (FDA) yet. It is thus not clear when the vaccinations will start in Thailand. (See also our Facebook page for more information).

Find out who the team are.
Tell them what happened and ask if there's any chance of a paddock/pit lane pass.
Thanks for your reply Enoon, i will surely try to do so. If life gives you lemons, make lemonade ????

Hi,
about 6 weeks ago i was looking online for a hotel room in Buriram for the Moto GP weekend in october. Most hotels were fully booked already but i found a great deal on sawadee.com: Ray Hotel in Buriram, 3 nights for total 3000 Baht! I made the booking, paid right away and confirmed by sawadee.com. 3 days ago i received an email from them, telling me the booking is cancelled because the hotel is now fully booked with a Moto GP team... at least i will get the money back but i have to struggle again to find a room in or near Buriram for the moto GP weekend. And of course i am a little bit upset that they just cancelled my booking. Anyone had a similar experience? Any recommendations? Thank you

Just saw a swiss doctor speaking about the numbers of infected people in Switzerland:
From 100, about 20 have to stay in hospital, 5 will need ICU threatment.
The numbers rising exponentially, so in about 10 days, all the avaiable ICU places will be full with the numbers still growing. This means soon they have to decide who gets the next free ICU bed and who has to die! The 72-year old grandpa who has a well balanced diabetes or the 48-year papa that need some medicine right now and has a wesk immunosystem or the 27-year young guy who just had bad luck.... The health system will collaps if people still underestimate that virus. They only way to stop it, is social distancing and not going for a beer with a friend or a Som Tam with my school mate. STAY HOME!
If i make a similar calculation for Thailand with the numbers from today (around 400 infected, doubling every 3 days) and the avaiable ICU beds (around 3200, let's say 5000), Mr. Prayut has time to completely shut down the whole country and force people to stay at home until the end of this month! If he doesn't, the capacities of the thai health system will just not be enough and thousands might die. Not even considering all the uncounted infections from the lack of testing and the thais that just came back from South Korea and partying in Isaan now. Good luck to you! ????

What part of "STAY HOME!" don't they understand? The only chance not to spread the virus is keeping distance to other people, DID YOU GET THAT? CAPISCE?

Hi Giddyup
This might help you...
I suffer from RLS for many years after an accident. It is especially bad...
• in bed just before falling asleep
• on a hard mattress
• when feeling the cool aircon on my leg
• on the airplane
Over the years i contacted some specialists, they could not really help me, so i tried this n that... Best and almost the only 2 things to minimize the RLS for a couple of hours so i could fall asleep and sleep for a few hours:
• Yellow Massage Balm from 3 Pharmacist
• smoke some weed (eating weed cookies or weed yogurt might help too), unfortunately this provides some walking problems to me
I hope this helps you too because i know how annoying and uncomfortable the RLS can be. If you want to try the massage balm, feel free to contact me, i am in Pattaya
