  1. I see. Its open the door starting Oct 2021 and let more and more tourist in. The country needs the money, vs the highest ever death toll thats now the daily average of deaths. Whats the worse that could happen? One more death doesnt seem to be one death too many attitude. It could have been prevented if the country had just waited a little longer. Now, other nations and countries are locking down and recording higher than average numbers. By all means open when the time is right, but not for the sake of pleasure and money before life.
  2. Now, if you go changing the society , educating them, enlightening them then the resort would stop being a place where mongers flock to extort and take advantage of the economically challenged.
  3. This is nothing new. It just seems to be the current point and topic to try address. I have been going to Thailand for years. I have seen locals on more than one occasion attack tourist. Some might have asked for it, but others haven't. I even had a friend that a bar owner pay a bouncer to assault. His fault or not, fact is it happened. This is media being used as a tool to raise hope and spotlight. I would think it's already a given that locals shouldn't attack or assault tourist. If there is a need to address the obvious then it seems international market should be aware. Nice attempt at a band-aid.
  4. Exactly! If they dont deal with it at the inept level, then why hold the top accountable? And I'm not defending, I'm being sarcastic! Of course it should not be tolerated women and men in all social classes deserve the same respect and protection. It's justwhen this post came out I had just visited ahome improvement store recently, and have noticed on other visits to similar stores and department stores, that they can act so inappropriately. Its not like they are young teenagers, though they act that way. I have seen them very touchy feely and doing inappropriate things to fellow employees. So I was saying its rampant all over in reality. I mean the term "mia noi" isn't supposed to be a real or legal thing, but they accept it, or lose face, money, stability, or something.
  5. Money put into focal points, certain hotels, taxis, and high price test. One should understand Ever since its been in place, and depending on the number of days one had to stay, there was an average of 6k thb per person or tourist entering the country. Why would one do away with to soon when that silent neccessary (tax) on arrival generates instant income. Its been a steady drip, and thats how you fill a bucket when the water is running dry.
  6. I thought this wasnt a big deal in the LOS. I go to department and home improvement stores all over the LOS and see all kinds to harassment, with both male and females grabbing and touching each other. How can the top be punished for whats not a big deal to the rest of them.
  7. Songkran was 13th. News delivered on 14th. Great reporting! Wheres this weather at? Haven't seen a drop and today was completely comfortable!
  8. No trap because they dont know, or it isnt a real professional doing it. Its all shoddy workmanship but you nailed it exactly. People buy condos never knowing in advance if this will be the case. Then they get stuck for life or until they can unload on another sucker.
  9. Where are they closed at? Go to Tree town Soi Buakow and more its bus as usual. Tree town looks as packed as ibar and 808 used to be. Now theres an outdoor pool with huge crowds. So where the ban?

    Water chucking

There isn't supposed to be any water chucking again this year, but they dont listen, so... normally Soi 6 in Pottaya would be starting today and last all week, but the actual day is 13 April. So if they are going to throw dirty ice water, it will be that day.
  11. Tig ol bitties, does lots of western foods.
  12. Must of had to pay the foriegners price of 3,500 THB per certificate, and then the 1800-2000 thb for the covid test, per person, then .59 thb each for meds. I dont know why it would be 10k per, 5k I get. But alas isnt medical free for locals?
  13. Filling your drinks? At all the Shaabu I been to it's self serve.
  14. Most post, if not all post at the buffet's, you will be charged for excess food left on yor plate. Usually, a certain weight. Take all you want, and some have a time limit, but eat all you take! Who can blame them with the amount of waste some do. Imagine, this patron having consequences for their action. Must comes as a shock that no one ever holds them accountable!
  15. And you are best served a Coward. Facts are facts. You would do nothing as per your own words.
  16. That store was full of things that could have hurt or stopped him, but one never knows until faced with the situation, and many arent trained.
  17. At least he would have saved a life if it had been him and he had done something. So, he might be charged or go to holding cell, but she would be alive. Do you even hear yourself with what you said. People like you, who say do nothing, because it comes back on you are the problem. That's the way a coward would act. Do nothing because you'll be at fault. So what be at fault! At least she might have lived. I bet if she had lived and someone would have defended her, she surely would have been thankful and defended her savior.
  18. No one knows what they would do if in that situation, but In Thailand I have seen police attacked on tv news reports and no one steps in to help. Guaranteed no one will intervene in the LOS, unless its a foreigner and a local national, then they will attack in droves.
  19. Typical! Arrest, release, and shortly immaturity takes over and they do it again. Happens a lot over there.
