Ooh if that's true about the Chinese buying up the hotels then you can expect a massive surge in chinese tourists once the gates open again. What a dreadful thought ????????

Less than 10 years sentence. Plead guilty gets 50% commuted. Special privilege confinement. Conjugal visits. Early parole.
Sorted.
He's too much of a snowflake to do that, run to China would be my guess and hide out with Jho-low ????????????????????

Right, so we are not re-opening the borders anytime soon but the Phuket model will allow tourists in.
I'm confused. ????

From what I was told, the Phoenix didn't overturn in storm, apparently the welds split open at the rear end due to the poor construction standards it was built to.
You can only presume the whole ship is of the same crappy standard. They should have left it where it was so it could become a reef and fishing location like the ferry that's out there.- 1

This trash was washed from the sea. It was not thrown to this beach. The ocean is full of trash. Sometimes the current wash it to the beach.
Sea or not sea doesn't make any difference, it's trash that people mostly Thai people have thrown there. Simple.

A refusal to confirm or deny is always a confirm. Thai gov are hiding the truth, trying to avoid any economic fallout. Lying to the world to selfishly protect their own interests.

Thailand is absolutely sh--ting themselves that they lose the tourists. So it's better to lie about the numbers who are infected. It won't make any difference to the outcome. Money is more important than the truth.

This man should be named and shamed for what he has done. Why would anyone lie about that.

If they were serious they would devalue the Baht by around 20% in the same way Malaysia did two or three years ago. Truth is they are not interested and just give Lip Service to the matter !
The Malaysians didn't devalue their currency, it lost about 5% in 2016 for various global economic reasons.

There's quite a lot of Doctors around the world who are actively prescribing types of cannabis oil which are proving very effective at reducing tumors some even completely. I think it's something definitely worth investigating and health departments to invest in.

"...The website said the monthly costs for a single person to live in Bangkok was 21,017.40฿ without rent..."
21,017 a month WITHOUT rent? What the hell do people do in Bangkok that is so expensive?
I live on Koh Samui, modestly but comfortably, for around that much including rent.
PS To be fair, I neither smoke nor drink; those are two of the more expensive habits...
Smoking (cigarettes) is not expensive actually, eating, drinking and transport, is where the money goes, throw some kids into the mix and watch the bills rocket. Thailand could do with a currency devaluation in my opinion.

One opinion I heard which seems very feasible is that most thai drivers learn on scooters when they are young, they then advance to cars and drive them in the same fashion as a scooter, constantly looking for the quickest option and a me first attitude.

20 years ago when I was a kid I saw tractors going on to the Spanish beaches early in the morning. With a big rake behind them, picking up any garbage and making the sand look pretty awesome. Why can't they do that in Thailand??

What makes you think the MET did not run a DNA test? Does it not fit into your view of the world that there might be no useable DNA traces ?
The statement from the family saying they are very disappointed that the Thai police did not find any dna. Obviously the family wouldn't of singled the Thai police out if the MET had also found nothing.

Another lucky escape for the evil that terrorises Koh Tao. One day the local people will be able to shed light on to the corrupt cockroaches that run things there. Shame that the British police let a chance to expose the culprits go. They should have taken a dna sample first. When will it end?

Yes, welcome back, now let's put the prices up so we can recover our covid losses. And maybe strengthen the baht.
