So I always take my drivers license when I run, in case something happens, so I have ID on me. Well my running backpack broke and I had to return it to Decathlon, with the DL in it as well, obviously. Decathlon conveniently DESTROYS all returned items the same day u return them (WHY????)
So I need to get a new DL. I am in Chiang Mai, if that makes a difference.
most google results are many years old, and all have somewhat conflicting info. Things that I have read are needed.
Police report (within 7 days of application)
New Medical cert.
New cert. of residency (I really hope not. they take a 500 baht bribe at immigration for it here, otherwise it takes 6 weeks)
Anyone know exactly what I will need? Help appreciated.

Congrats on getting your approval. I just submitted my application via Star Visa Service in Chiang Mai. Which service did you use? How long do you think it will take you to actually get back to Thailand. I would love to keep in touch with you to see how you progress with the process.
I used Assist Thai Visa Services. I am already in Chiang Mai. I will be canceling my ED visa and receiving the Elite in BKK

Update: I received the approval letter today

Well, thanks for the insight. I am fine until December so I am not too worried as of yet. You would think they might be a little more motivated, considering it is basically free money on their side...

Oops, I meant August. My bad.
It was submitted on Aug 4th to my knowledge

I applied for the Elite Visa in early August through an agency in Chiang Mai. The western representative of the agency told me a 6-8 week period was to be expected before the approval letter arrives.
It is coming up on 6 weeks and still awaiting approval letter.
Does anyone else have experience? I assume there may be a higher number of applicants with the current situation.
Any help or previous experiences appreciated.

However, the air was clear during my stay. I can't imagine, why ANYONE would want to live there with the choking smog as well. In fact, I don't know why anyone would want to stay anywhere in the world where there was choking smog. All that and the worst immigration office in the country to boot.
Uhh, perhaps some people live in Thailand for reasons other than bars and baht busses? Sure the pollution sucks, but CM has a lot to offer that other cities in Thailand do not.

Are they still holding the night marathon tonight ???
They should be charged with wilful negligence, if they do.
Seriously. I'm imagining some scifi looking scene with bunch of marathoners in soviet era respirators

My Xaomi 2s which has consistently kept my rooms below 40 pm2.5 for weeks now, is now stuck at 250...... There is no escape at this level

My 2s works fantastic. Both my bedroom and living space are ~35 sq.m each. I move it depending on which room I will be in. Never goes above 50, except for today.
You have to manually set the fan to high for a while to clear out the room the first time

Hello, I am looking to buy Calcium Oxide/Hydroxide (ปูนขาว - poon khao = quicklime (calcium oxide)) for the process of making corn tortillas (nixtamalization)
I came across this old thread
but I'm sure that info is likely out of date by now.
Does anyone know of a vendor that might have this product available in reasonable quantities (not 100s of kgs)?
Thanks!

Okay. Thank youIf is a document you get from immigration to prove your address. You will need to ask Chiang Mai immigration what they require to get one.

I thought tm30 was certificate of residence? That appears to be a screen shot of the online report that was done. It is the same as doing TM30 report.
The report does not expire. That 7 days is for being able to only search for reports done within the last 7 days.
You will need more than a TM30 report to apply for a drivers license. You will need a certificate of residence.
So what is my next step then?
Thanks for the help!

I just signed a lease 2 weeks back and received the attached form. I have been so busy setting up my new place and getting situated that I completely forgot about this form.
To my understanding it is my landlord's registration for tm30 which I present at immigration in chiang mai to receive my tm30 receipt.
I also see the badly translated text saying 'search only for notifications within 7 days' does that mean this registration has expired and I need to get another from my landlord?
I need the tm30 to do the drivers license test.

Going to get moto license soon. Do I need to bring a bike for the driving portion of the test?

I received this printout after signing the lease on my condo.
I have been so busy getting situated that I pretty much forgot about it.
To my. Understanding, this is my landlords registration for my tm30. I also see the badly translated text saying do not search further than 7 days from registration. Does this mean I needed to got to imm. Within 7 days of receiving this?
If so do I need to request a completely new form from my landlord?

Hello. I just arrived in CM, after a long stay in my home country. Previous to that lived BKK for 9 years.
I have applied for a non imm ED, which I'm awaiting the paperwork from MOE for.
I need to get legal on the road asap (scooter), but to my understanding, it's not possible to get a license without TM30, and it is not possible to get TM30 without a proper visa?
So basically I have to wait for my MOE paperwork, leave the country to get ED visa at outside consulate, get TM30, and only then can I apply for a motorbike license?
Do I have these steps in order? Thanks
