I'm due to fly into Chiang Mai at the end of this month (April) from Koh Samui where I've been for the last 2 months. I'm flying from Surat Thani. I'm just wondering if anyone could tell me or direct me to any latest info on arrival there? Earlier this month I know they mandated a 2 week isolation period in a government building for foreigners arriving from overseas and Bangkok (where I'll be changing flights). I've not been able to find any updated information on any of this.

Yeah I was in Thailand pretty much from October 2018 through to April 2019. I flew in, got the visa on arrival, and then used all of my extensions and border runs.

I'm now going to apply for the Multi-Entry Visa at the embassy here. 

I know that on this visa I have to leave every 60 days, so do these exits need to be via air or is land ok in this instance.

I have already used my two land border crossings for this calendar year, however for the last month, I have been living back in Australia. 

When I return to Thailand, will I be able to do two more land border crossings (in this calender year), now that i've left the country via plane, or can I stay only my 30 or 60 days (+extension).

Thank you to both of you, that is a huge help ???? Yep the 60 day Tourist Visa would absolutely be the best way to go. I need to go to Yangon or Vientiane for that right? They're not available at the border if I stay 2-3 nights for it?

This is my first post here ???? Just wondering if I could run my Thailand visa plans by people here? I think I have it all right, but I’d like to be sure because there is soooooo much conflicting advice online. 

I’m Australian, I arrived in Thailand on the 30 days, extended it for another 30 days which expires mid-November. I need to be here until early February.

My plans are:

- Land border run to Myanmar to get another 30 days (until mid-Dec 2018)
- Extend that at Immigration for another 30 days (until mid-Jan 2019)
- Do another land border run in mid-Jan for another 30 days (until mid-Feb)

I guess my primary concerns are: 

1) As an Australian, will I get 30 days at the border instead of the old 15?

2) Am I able to extend the border run visas at Immigration?

I really appreciate the time from anyone who has read this and can help ????
