I guess so much for the thread several weeks ago when everyone was bantering on about any assets acquired after marriage were to be split 50/50. Am thinking more of the house here than the car as the house is in her name.

Did someone get suspicious when the same "person" checked in 3,600 times in one day?

The problem with that is that if it is a emergency situation, you won't be getting on any plane. As we get older, things can change very quickly from one day feeling great...to the next in a emergency situation, one never knows unfortunately.

The truth seems to be that after five hours in such a critical condition he would be presumed dead and life support would be turned off, notes Thaivisa.
Why is that "truth".
Maybe in Thailand no one can survive in critical condition that long.

Was in Pattaya once about 15 years ago, was not very impressed. never went there again and never will.
The beach was dirty and unimpressive, there were a lot of bars , some street performers. , on walking street. I remember shops for tourists with Indians trying to sell me a suit and rolex watches. Not my scene
Don't know what it is like now
I can see how something like that could happen there.
Those were the "good ol' days".

I put forth a suggestion out here at least 2 or 3 times over the past year or so that would have saved Thailand hundreds of millions of gallons of water per day. I guess it went unheeded... oh well.
-
Can't be true...I remember statements saying there will be no water shortages.
And those in Chiang Mai can rejoice because the powers that be stated they dealt with pollution issues so the air will be clean come February-May. Hallelujah!

Don't forget your good travel insurance policy. Lordy, Lordy, Lordy....I feel a GFM in the future.
Seriously...don't travel without a comprehensive policy.

most Thai residents living in Pattaya come from other province in the country, many visit at the weekend and on holiday
I visit many none tourist towns cities all over Thailand and there is trash everywhere, they are dirty pigs and have no concept of what clean is, you want to see clean - go to the west or even Japan and you will see clean
The difference of living in a 1st world country vs. a 3rd world country. Might as well be in Africa.

i see 1.280 houses that could pay up to 60b a month.thats nearly 80,000 to run a truck and 4 salaried men maybe mon, wed,Friday and that's just one estate.
Not sure why trash would need to be picked up more than once a week. If that's the case, they are generating way too much trash, and the reason why should be examined and proactively dealt with. But its Thailand, so we know how that goes.

It saves Thailand from having to implement a social service net/welfare system. The farangs bear that cost of taking care of the needy.

Who can predict what any country will be like in 10 years?
That is just ridiculous.
Thailand is still the third world anyway you look at it.
Politicians get into politics to control budgets to make themselves rich. Therefore the country never moves forward. Ever!
Depending on who is in charge of the govt, the policies can either favor or hinder expats.
Right now the policies seem to be anti-expat
Currency? No one that retired to Thailand predicted the currency would depreciate so much and are now forced to live with it.
Who knows what the currency will do in 10 years? Might be more expensive than your home country?
The big question is HOW many people would have moved to Thailand in the first place if NOT for the cheap and easily available women, who will marry almost anyone?
Thailand is overcrowded, pollution is getting worse ever year, traffic is already at nightmare levels, flooding, monsoons, heat and humidity, mosquitoes, etc. What exactly is the big attraction about living in all that?
I really think if people had the money required to retire in comfort in their own countries, they would have never picked Thailand. Go to Thailand a month or 2 to play around, sure, but move there and have no bridge to get back? No Thanks.
However, if you want to rent a 1 room flat in your golden years and chase bar girls, this is probably the place for you.
The government can pass any policy they want, increase financial requirements to stay, mandatory insurance, you name it. Their country, their rules.
Thailand has taken such a dive the past 2 years, cannot even image 10 years from now?
Spot on.

Have been saying for years I don't want any food from china. Wouldn't trust it one bit. The scary thing is, when it comes to food components of a finished product, you have no idea that individual ingredients are coming from China. And traceability is always a problem. China can ship raw ingredients to another country and then forward them on to your country so you think they are ingredients from the last country shipped from. These are not good times for food consumption.

Since you such as expert, why do not you tell me how many were hit in the head and how many died from 1 hit in the head?
Well here ya go...this group counted 80 in UK in about 10 years. The headline story is about a 21 year old bouncer killing a patron with one punch. They explain how it happens and why the cause of death. No surprise. Honestly, people like you scare me that you were in charge of bouncers. It's no wonder these types of killings go on.

And by the way, I never said I was a expert, but I do claim to have common sense.
That by the way is just one link from a google search, there are dozens others.
Read and learn.

Try this one
Looks like the victim is attacked by two people at the same time. This guy didn't throw a punch, he was trying to get away and put up his hand to defend himself. I would say this is a case of murder from the looks of that video. Lose your life for a few baht. Life is cheap in Thailand.

And that is why in boxing they throw punches in the air ????
