  1. I had home visit 1 time only, this year they didnt do a home visit when i renewed it.
I just gave all the standar papers, including my ex id and passport.

So if i just move on, and get myself a new place to live, i dont have to worry about nothing?

I guess its allowed to have 2 places.. But its no problem to have the new place in my name?

And for the next years renewal, would it be more easy to just keep the address here, is that what you are saying?

  2. I have the one year extension based on being a parent of Thai and I just renewed it for another year.

So is there any rules about how much I have to have her?

What kind of proof? Is it enough with the mother saying I have here regularly?
Im considering moving some hours away from here to another city, so it will be weekends and school breaks...

    And thanks for answer!

  3. I have a NON IMM visa on my daugher, and it works great. I would really like to keep it in the future.
My daughter is now 6 years.

Now Im breaking up with her mother, and I wonder if Im allowed to keep the visa even if I dont have the same address as them?
I still live in our house with them, but I really would like to move on. But again, I always follow the rules and laws here in Thailand so i will not move before I know how to do this.

Iam the provider for both my daughter and her mother financially and I can document this..

The plan is my daughter continues to live with her mother, but stay with me in weekends and school breaks etc.

I find a lot of information about NON IMM and marriage, but very little about NON IMM and children.

If any one have experience around this, or now something about it, I appreciate all answers.

  4. Im currently having some trouble with the 1 year extention of my NON IMM visa type O.
I have one child 4 years old(thai and norway passport and both BC), but the immigration office will not accept the birth certificates.
They told me to get married so it will be much easier, so im going for it.
I have requested the papers from my country, Norway.
It will take about 3 weeks to get the papers....

Im 1,5month into my visa, so i should apply for the 1 year extention before 1 december.(1 month before it expire).
My problem is that i cannot arrange my marrige before this, so what to do?

Can i get a 30 day extension on my non imm type o visa, same as with tourist visas?
Can i take a "visa trip" to one of the neighbor countries, by foot or flight?
Or can i go for Vientiane and stay there some days and apply for a new NON IMM visa?
Or do i need to go back for Norway, apply for a new NON IMM visa, then go back to Thailand?
Or even better, is there any IMMIGRATION OFFICE in Thailand that accept Birth Cerifticate? Have one in Thai, and one In Norwegian with translation and confirmation that im the father from the Norwegian Embassy in Bangkok.

  5. Great threat with lots of helpfull information.

Im currently trying to push trought this shit myself.
    I have a daughter 4 years old.
Born in Norway, but lived she have lived in thailand the past 2 years.
    Her mother is thai.
She have both Thai and Norwegian passport.
I have BC for her in Thai, and also a Norwegian one translated and confirmed by the Norwegian embassy in BKK.

I got to the Immigration Office here in Phitsanulok and to make sure my papers was ok, but at my surprise they wanted me to go to the Amphur to get papers.
We tried go to the Amphur but there was little or no help at all to get, they just told me to go to the court.
I went to the court, and there they told me it would be around a 3 months process to get the papers.
I went back to the Immigration office again and told them about my problems, they was telling me to get married and everything would be ok.

My problem is, my visa expires in 1,5 month, so going to court is no option the way i see it.
I have now requested Certificate of No Impediment to Marrige, from my country, but the papers take around 3 weeks to get... and i guess around 4-5 weeks to get my marrige arranged. How do i obtain my visa, or extend it for a month or so, while waiting on my papers to get ok?
