  1. Potatoes do not like the tropical conditions that we have in Thailand. However you could still grow them in the period December to February when temperatures are at its lowest, but even then you will see that they are very susceptible diseases, mainly fungus. The potatoes that you can buy at the supermarkets are not really suitable for using as seed but they will grow. Their yield potential is just lower because of virus infections (not harmful for humans though). Planting them at the end of April is a waste of your time.

  2. The tractor that we have is a New Holland 5610 built in September 1997. It is very similar and in a lot of parts identical to the Ford 5610 and to the 6610. I agree with you that it is not difficult to find someone who claim that they can do the job. Unfortunately I have been disapointed more then once on these kind of repair jobs, both with tractors and cars. I have decided that I will do most of it myself.

I have a Ford Series 10 Tractor repair manual Vol. 1 and 2 in english. What I don´t have is time, since my question.

  4. We have a New Holland 5610 tractor that needs some work. Since I have been working overseas for the last 15 years nobody has been really looking after it (apart from using it). The work that needs to be done is mainly overdue maintanace, new tyres, new seat and so on. Can someone recommend a Ford - New Holland Dealer or a serious repair shop near Khon Kaen - Kalasin - Mahasarakham?

  5. We arrived yesterday at the 30th of October out of Germany, the whole procedure at the airport with checking documents and immigration went smooth. We need to do our one week ASQ in Bangkok, as expected. It do wonder though, because fully vaccinated people from the selected countries that enter on Thailand on Monday will be out before us. A little strange isn’t it? Anybody in a similar situation?

It won't really matter. You will spend all of you time in the room. You will do your own temps. You will communicate via LINE APP to the onsite nurse and staff. You may get to go out for short periods after you pass your first covid test. All depends on whether you want to pay for a high end hotel or a more simpler hotel. I would say honestly, the only difference in experiences may be the food. Presumably if you pay for a nicer hotel you will get better food? I stayed at the Miloft over by the river, 32,000 for the two weeks. The food honestly wasn't horrible, but was very boring packaged food like you would find at a low end hotel breakfast.

The food is not the strong point of this place.

  7. I hold my PR since 2003. Altough I now live and work in Europe I visit Thailand on a regular basis, at least once a year, with my wife. In order to keep my PR status I have always taken care of a valid re-entry. For this years visit I have limited time and plan to do my re-entry in Bangkok (CW) instead of my home town Mahasarakham. I do not expect this to be a problem, or?

What do I fill in on the TM13 and TM20 under "this application was written at"? Do I use the adres of the hotel where I stay?
