  1. Tomorrow, I am driving a couple of farang guests from Pattaya to Phimai, via Khao Yai, over the 304 road. They are keen walkers and I amlooking for a place along that road where we could stop and do a one or two hour bushwalk, maybe to a waterfall or so. Just a nice scenic walk to break the journey and celebrate that we are in a national park.

can anyone suggest a good placeto stop and do such walk?

  2. Thank you, Guys. I have made a few notes, and will now go to town and is it three or four places mentioned here. I am a bit reluctant about Lazada, since I realise that the cost of installing and service will add an unknown amount. But I will download the Lazada info, to have with me in discussing price with the various  suppliers....

  3. I drive a Mazda CX5. Very happy with it.
But it needs new tyres, and my Mazda dealer quotes me almost 9000 baht per tyre, for TOYO Proxes36  225/55 R19.

Does anyone know where to get these at best price in Pattaya or nearby?

I know nothing about tyres. I like my safety, however, the price quoted seems a bit high.

Is there any other tyre, of reasonable quality, that will give me similar product as lower price?

When will the new shingles vaccine be available in Thailand?

    No reply in August.
Dies anyone know now when Shingrix will be available in Thailand?

Or if it is available anywhere nearby? Singapore?

I had a bad dose about a year ago and will do anything to prevent getting it again, even flying to Singapore, maybe USA is a bit too far...

  5. My wife, NZ passport is currently in NZ, and had to renew her passport since it was full. She asked the Thai embassy to transfer her retirement visa, they replied it would take much longer then the time she has available. They said do it in Thailand. Now she is returning in a couple of days and a bit uncertain how to enter. Does she enter on a tourist visa, then go to immigration to transfer, or does she try to get in on her returning residents permit by showing her old passport.
    Anyone had this experience?
