I don't see LSD specifically mentioned but it is on par with Class 5 rated mushrooms. This German fellow is in for a world of misery I would think.
The amount plus he was caught trying to sell the substance - intent to sell carries very stiff penalties.
Narcotics Categories in Thailand
I – heroin, amphetamines (ecstasy), methamphetamines (Yaba and Ice)
II – morphine, cocaine, ketamine, codeine, opium, and medicinal opium, methadone
III – medicinal drugs which legally contain Category II ingredients
IV – chemicals used to make Category I and II narcotics, like anhydride and acetyl chloride
V – marijuana, the Kratom plant, hallucinogenic mushroomInteresting that Class 1 substances are, in my mind, worse than Class 5. Meth is 1 and weed is 5??
Bottom line is how stupid do you have to be to be caught selling LSD in Thailand? I don't know what was going on in his mind maybe he was desperate for cash but Jesus Christ man! I would be paranoid to even take LSD in a foreign country, my own country even. LSD affects different people in different ways. What would have happened had he dosed some locals who didn't know what they were in for?
Any law folks have an idea how much time he'll do? Poor guy.
"If you are caught carrying more than twenty grams of Yaba (or any other Category I drug, like Ice or Ecstasy) you’ll be eligible for ‘intent to sell’ penalties, the most severe of which is the death penalty." Death may be better than prison for this bloke. It seems Life imprisonment is a popular sentence in Thailand...
This is in a country where wearing no underpants under your clothing is illegal.
Let's all just be thankful he was not also going "commando" when arrested.

No Going Commando — Thailand
There haven’t been any reports of imprisonment due to a lack of underwear, but we suggest you play it safe. Make sure you have something on underneath your pants, skirt, or dress when leaving your hotel in Thailand.

I'm sure Thai officials would like more tourists. Especially clumsy ones that injure themselves in a pool accident. £60,000 ransom to be allowed to exit the country? Now that's a good tourism racket.
Not sure I would ever visit this country, but I would be very be very cautious if I did.

Hi,
I built my last PC with some help from this website:
I recommend an SSD + HDD
The speed increase from the SSD (w/OS installed on it) is night and day compared to HDD - I put all games on the SSD
Extraneous things I store on the HDD (videos, pics, etc.)
What I came up with:
I'm still running Windows 7 x64
Installed an MSI MB (MS-7979)
Nvidia GTX 1060 3GB
Intel chip i5-7400 & 8 Gigs ram
500 gig SSD
750 gig HDD
A good PSU
I call it "The Beast" and it will run anything I throw at it so far on high to ultra settings - full AA etc.
Not infinite room on the SSD but i couldn't live w/o one now...

iirc all you have to do is set your home country to wherever you are residing. I was living in Ukraine and had no problem with Steam. Downloads, purchases, etc. There were some games that specified I would only be able to play the game in certain countries but have not noticed any problems..yet.
You will find a clickable "update store country" link on your account details page (right-hand side). Once you update your country to Thailand make sure your bank has been notified you are using your card in Thailand (travel notification)

Both I and my brother in law recently quit smoking (again)
I'm on a start again stop again program but eventually, I am hoping all cravings will disappear.
A couple of things different with my cessation this time around:
1. Cigars or cigarillos - these cause much fewer cravings during smoking.
It may be possible to wean oneself off of cigarettes by starting smoking cigars
2. marijuana - now I know this may sound like going from soft smoking to hard smoking but
I noticed while I was trying to stop smoking cigarettes that smoking a joint at night helped me not to smoke cigarettes. Really helped with the first few days especially. I know it is not legal everywhere but it is legal where I am. Plus I feel no addictive quality to marijuana.
3. coffee/alcohol - Desire to smoke cigs is amped up after coffee or alcohol (at least for me it is)
I cut back or did not drink while stopping smoking...helped a lot )
Good luck, it is well worth w/e you need to go through to stop smoking!
