I wonder if this appeal is being heard in a certain hotel in a certain European country.

The navy has just cleared the way for the Lao military to launch its much-expected attack on Thailand.

Your daughter probably feel very much in depth too you for making her feel more insecure and scared outside and around people. What you are doing here is creating a fobies in another persons mind.
You must be kidding. There's nothing wrong with sensible precautions, especially when you're a young female. Do you lock your front door when you go to sleep at night?

Give her the Gold Kiever
A real woman is a man's best friend Kiever.
She will never stand him up and never let him down.
She will reassure him when he feels insecure and comfort him after a bad day.
She will inspire him to do things he never thought he could do, she will enable him to express his deepest emotions,
and give into his most intimate desires,
she will make him feel confident, sexy, seductive and invincible.....
.........No wait.....I'm thinking of Beer, it's <deleted> Beer that does all that!...................................

And in your mouth if you breathe, so stop breathing and you'll be safe.

NZ is heading that way as well. In just over 5 weeks since the first recorded case of covid-19, there has been only 1 death and 1100-odd infections. Pretty impressive, though no one is being complacent. Our tourism sector, which is a big part of our GDP, has taken a severe blow, and no one knows whether it will recover to the extent it was before. But anyway, physical distancing does work best by the looks of things.

She never ran from the Nazis in fact she joined the army as a mechanic, She could have gone to Canada, but chose to stay.
My post was obscure for a reason. Many will understand why, especially if you have read a certain story out of Germany. Google is your friend.

I'm in NZ right now - perhaps a good place to be to wait out this plague. But I'm separated from my daughter, and I miss her badly. Not being able to jump on a plane at any time and go up there is taking time to sink in. I miss my little home up there, and I miss my relaxed lifestyle and all the things I have become used to over the decades. For all its faults, Thailand was home for 30 years, and it's not easy to just suddenly push that aside. If this goes on for another couple of years, I might be a raving lunatic by the time I can go back.

This brilliant idea from another thread. (I might add that you should wear a mask and cough a lot):
"If you have gone to immigration with any Covid-19 symptoms, please tell an immigration officer. They seem totally unaware what they are forcing people to do."

Are these not standard measures anywhere?
True. But people do let their guard down when times are not so fraught. And, this looks to be the very worst of times ahead of us.

Much has been said about this already. So maybe this thread could morph into one about security and how to go about protecting against the seemingly inevitable rise in crime. For example, I have urged my daughter to always lock the car doors when out. If on the motorbike, she should always look around her for anyone suspiciously following her. And if anyone suspicious comes near her to be ready to throw away some smaller notes.

I think she's going to give them her Burberry wellies. After all, she only wore them once during the 2011 floods.

Herd immunity has a certain logic to it, but who wants to be the one to stand up and tell the masses, "Sorry, but some of you will have to die so that the rest of us can live". It's a long-term plan fraught with disaster. NZ is under lockdown and practising social distancing, and so far it appears to be working and buying time that is being used to restore normality.

Have some sympathy for the police everyone!
With so many legit places forced to close, police have few places left to extort!
Absolutely right, mate. What is the Thai world coming to when the BiBs and assorted little big men are expected to act like real humans. Shame on these people for exposing the den.

Don't be too hard on him...jail aint that pretty...
Except he'll be in maximum security for the rest of his pathetic life, no contact with other prisoners, and only Mrs Palmer and her 5 daughters to keep him company. Doubt he'll be allowed or get any visitors. He'll never be released. The only thing missing from this scenario is monthly whippings with a rattan cane.

How are police to catch criminals? Same way they usually do - grab the nearest Somchai.
