One's citizenship belongs to the country, not the person. That being said, I use 3, one Thai, and wouldn't give any of them up unless I was forced to choose.

probably better off hiding out in plain sight, like in BKK where foreigners don't draw much attention.

It really would be a fun experience, something to write about in a few years, plus the maximum fine of 50k isn't a major issue (most likely 5-10k under the table would solve the problem anyway).
[*] on tourist visas, of course. If the indolent authorities came up with a proper visa+work permit scheme for digital professionals (say, 1k usd pa), they would already be a few thousand USD richer.
it would be hard to prove that you are working as a digital nomad unless you admit to doing so when questioned. so nothing to be to concerned about. i think they are more interested in going after people working in brick and mortar type settings.

METV poses a problem per the Thai Embassy in Washington DC. Requires either of the items below related to employment or businesses. I truly am retired (no LLCs, side businesses, etc.). Therefore, METV is not an option.
Just to remind folks here, I don't have my heart set on 7 months in Thailand each year. Yes, the more, the better. However, I am just really trying to find out what is a "safe" amount of time to spend in the Kingdom on an annual basis? If the answer is just one SETV and one extension (90 days) or one SETV and 1 border bounce (120 days), I am ok with that. I am not objecting. I will simply allocate more time to another destination. I am not looking to push the limits, only to understand what they are. Are we at the point where just one SETV and 1 extension (90 days total) is really all that you can get away with in a year?
8. A letter proof of employment ( **we don’t accept pay stubs**)
10.For self-employed, business license or business registration indicating the applicant’s name
You could open your own consulting business and put your aviation knowledge to good use and get a work visa and work permit. You Would be looking at about 110k in taxes per year to keep your company going if you know what I mean. You wouldnt need to make any money for the first few years, but as long as you are paying your taxes you can keep your work visa.

Their requirement used to be one witness coming to the office w/ their ID and House-Book, who can attest they know you live together as husband/wife. This may have changed in the past year or so, but is something which you can probably find out at the front desk - which is the best place to start the process, though expect more requirements may be added at the desk where you attempt to submit your application.
Beware that if you rent, you may need more documentation from the landlord that was needed for your TM-30 as "proof of residence" - though the TM-30 must also be current. Landlord docs would include:
- - Housebook for where you live
- - Chanote for where you live
- - Rental-Contract for where you live
- - Landlord's ID
- - Landlord's Housebook
All copies above signed by the landlord.
Just extended my non-o for the 7th year in a row in Bangkok. Was surprised that they did, in fact, ask for
-Housebook for where you live
- Chanote for where you live
- Rental-Contract for where you live
- Landlord's ID
- Landlord's Housebook
All need to be copied with the original signature of the landlord. Front and back pages of Chanote are required.
The prior 6 years all i needed was the rental contract and my landlord's ID card. The house deed, etc. seem to be something new they've recently added. Also, the first extension year they asked for a photo in our bedroom. Year 2 when I brought the photo of us in our bedroom, they said it wasn't required...so extension years 2 -6 a photo in the bedroom wasn't required, but seems to be a requirement again. Oh well, they like to keep us jumping through hoops.
