Footpaths. Don't use them and I walk 2 hours a day most days. They are danger traps not just for their dismal broken nature, head banging steel frames, bussiness in the space but also for the fancy tiles that are skating rings when wet. I walk on the road same place where the monks do but with the traffic coming towards so I have full view and control over my own safety. And thats on single lane sois or 3 lane roads.
Tuktuk and taxi drivers not being able to understand google maps and my southern deep tones pronunciation...no prob...put a thai family member on the phone to give them directions.

Soi dogs are aggressive and dangerous pests. They should be rounded up and destroyed.
I used to come here with the same knucklehead attitude to dogs displayed in this thread and the dogs knew it and many unnecessary actions ensured. Now I come here minus the knucklehead attitude and instead an open happy mindset and get on well with the soi dogs. And considering I do a 2 hour walk most mornings through the soi's I get to meet many dogs even the packs and alls sweet.
Only place I will never go is through a temple narrow gate early nornings or evenings without other people about as the dogs in there are doing their night watch job.
As for the one off dog on human tragedies for people to direct their own insecurities of Thai dogs, they happen in western countries too.

I agree, have a kid. Don't adopt. When it's 50% your dna it means more. Good luck.
The "blood is thicker than water" old fallacy?
Two kids from my 1st marriage all my DNA...oldest my son now at 43 is an outstanding man in every way and proud of him. My daughter lost tragically at 19 years old.
Another daughter fully my DNA now 35 that I have no contact with due to her destructive vindictive mother. So much for DNA there.
Two daughters now 30 and 23 from a Thai father (so none of my DNA) who walked out on them when the youngest was born....another great Thai father. They came with my Thai wife 18 years ago when I brought all 3 of them to New Zealand. I become their Dad at the oldest daughters request when she was a skinny little 13 year old. Guided her and taught her everything I could, and still do as she comes to me rather than her mum for the critical and surprisingly heart affairs decisions in her life. For the 17 years she has been in my life she has given me one of the most amazing relationships I could ever wish for. Possibly as I was broken from the tragic lose of my own daughter. She has graduated university and at 30 owns her own highly lucrative business and has just build her own brand new luxury home. She is an awesome and stunning young woman in every way. There have been many moments that my heart just busts with proudness and love for her. One example in relation to your blood thicker than water comment was at her Auckland university graduation celebration where one of her Thai friends ridiculed the introduction of me as her Dad. Right in front of all her Thai friends she boldly came out with that I was the one who stands by her, guides her and loves her unconditionally and that she is the luckiest person in the world to have me as her Dad. She's wrong thou on being the luckiest person in the world. That's me, as I have been given the greatest gift ever of her and her unconditional love and trust and her calling me Dad....with no DNA input whatso ever.
DNA has nothing to do with it. Your ability to build with and love those who want the same does.

So what does he do? Go to the press with some crazy statement which he will know they will pick up. And he has another 15 minutes of fame.
It must be sad to be so desperate for attention.
You are on to it. Not just him but he sees the threat of Move Forward overtaking the Pheu Thai permanently removing his corrupt mafia family hold on another term of milking Thailand coffers.

Prayut is probably happy that MF has come out on top in the civilian parties lolly scramble.
Personally think he will be ensuring that MF leadership and party are not kneecapped in their bid to form the lower house. That then keeps the corrupt Shinawatra mafia clan under control and gives MF this election cycle to gain a stronger following and gain a stronger poll result next election.
The opposite of that is if MF leadership is knee capped then the Shinawatra mafia trash gets their hands on leadership and Thailand then stays in the constant cycle of the last 25 years of Shinawatra corruption and Army incompetence.
For Thailand's sake MF needs to lead the civilian government with Prayut's acceptance.

There was more than one strike in Luhansk Oblast from missiles which the Russians are keeping numb on. There was definitely more than the one building hit with some reports claiming up to five. The other additive was there was American ADM-160Bs dummy missiles (which basically confuse the Russian radars) in front of the Storm Shadows. Well done UK for supplying and to Germany and USA for the latest $4 billion of weapons and aid.
And for the Kerch bridge target comment...yes it would be awesome but the Storm Shadows are radar detected over water and only range at the moment they would have to some over the Sea of Avoz. Only way for success is they have to come over land which would mean being launched in Kherson and coming around over Crimea. But Ukraine would need to take the rest of Kherson Oblast on the south side of the Dnipro River to get the range. Thats on who you believe as there is all sorts of range for the Storm Shadow but most reliable seems to be 250km.
And good news on top of the soils drying and letting the Leopards and other toys loose for more open country Orc roundups and Stampedes, on top of the Bakhmut Orc Stampede/Roundup is Ukraine forces are breaking through Russian lines just above Svatove in the very north.

Great News for Thailand that Move Forward has come in at the top and with a 10 seat margin over the corrupt Shinawatra mafia clan. Still a lot of garbage in the way of these guys wrestling power off the military but it is first step away from the roundabout of the incompetent military v corrupt Shinawatra circus on the last 25 years.

This case has gone way way beyond Chauvin and Floyd, it is now the the police vs black people in America. I can't see any outcome that is a good one
Is the Justice system in the US that flawed that it cannot be kept within the courtroom where a judge presides over evidence and a jury decides? Oh wait in light of the countless cops who have walked after killing innocent blacks I see what you mean. Did you know that even in this state alone as of December 2020 there were 129 cops on active criminal charges including a good percent for off duty shootings.

Again articles like this along with comments show up how screwed up and backward America is. Here in NZ Tarrant an Aussie murdered 51 of our fellow Kiwi citizens and our modern western system put him in prison for the rest of his life. While a few Kiwi Neanderthals bemoaned the lack of the death penalty here the biggest debate has been over why should we Kiwis be picking up the cost of his life imprisonment and why isn’t he deported back to Aussie. Thankfully the reality of that is the cost for having a modern civilized society won over.
What I find interesting with the two examples is the 51 Kiwi victims massacred by a non Kiwi whitey were Muslim and that Muslim section of our community mostly agree with imprisonment for life whereas in the US case the killer a US Islamic (?) citizen is to be killed by his own whitey system and fellow whitey citizens. Hell why not even have a public mass lynching and then for good measure a good ole boy burning like those blackies just a few years back. It seems that Salem was only yesterday in the US.- 1

You are actually quite wrong. You are only getting the ones where lots die on world news. The actual stats are there has been 7 mass shootings in the US in the last 7 days as per this item.
The country is a nuthouse.

it's not a documentary, and yes the scenes are "produced", yet all the historical events depicted in the show are true and the reactions of the Palace and the characters in the Palace are "as is" according to insiders. What was actually said and where they were said are not "as is", but the whole ambiance and depictions of characters are very accurate according to insiders, like being there.
It does give an insight to the whole drama of why Megan feels rejected, it's not the first time that issue is being raised in that royal family.
Anyway, a very good show if you want to have a deep and intimate look at the Royal family ????
Perhaps the reason Markel feels rejected in that Royal family is found with that Royal family hiring external lawyers and investigators to examine claims from the Royal staff of bullying by Markel.

Deal with the racism seen in the alt right media outlets. It's disgusting.
I really hope the Jim Crow tactics at State level by Republicans to control levels of the Black vote does not muddy the chances of Harris for the Presidency. Providing of course the Democrats deliver stability to the American public in this term. With this term under her belt as VP to learn a back to back Dem victory would deliver her a stable team to work with. She is currently a shinning light for the US.

Bingo. Jacinda will describe a problem....and then Jacinda herself is always the solution. Worst Prime Minister in New Zealand in my lifetime, for sure.
But, but, but....You can’t say that as it is not being helpful nor kind. It’s not like the country can’t afford Cindy getting unhappy with us all and locking our wonderful team of five million down as Princess Cindy has those ever producing money trees in her magic garden to keep us all happy and content in drunken spree wonderment. I think you should join hands with your closest fellow Kiwis and sing a round of Kumbaya as penance for your unkind comment and rejoice that our wonderful world renowned leader has solved child providee, built 10,000 homes in no time to solve the housing crisis, lowered house affordability, grown the NZ economy, unlocked the traffic chaos in Auckland, selling NZ country side to world polluters to plant monoculture pine in a sham carbon credit scheme etc etc. and all the time being the most kind PM we have ever had.....

Good reasons for Britain leaving the EU? Apart from the obvious, like your own sovereignty and as Covid runs riot through the Frog rugby team and England is vaccinating flat out is thank God Brits aren’t fronting up to the massive trade deficit the Frogs are. Another failing EU state the Germans will have to prop up without the Brits help.

“A broad ruling by high court, which has a 6-3 conservative majority, ”
Its time the US stopped all the bull <deleted> and call it what it is...it’s not conservatism....conservative meaning to protect or uphold the status quo. In a country where slavery was the status quo and blacks being only worth 3/5ths of a whitey is the status quo then being conservative is pure straight out racism against black Americans. And nowhere is that more obvious than what the RepubliKKKlan controlled states like Georgia are this week doing pushing through new statues to limit the Black vote outcome and undermine the great work that the likes of Stacey Abrams have done to try and stop the racism at Georgia State level.
Americans claim the US is a shinning light of democracy. Jeez get your heads our of where the sun don’t shine. Your corrupt and racist country voting and governance system sits deservedly at a lowly number 25 in the world for democracy rating.- 16

Wrong. It’s not his choice. Regardless of what you or I think the rules of the NZ Parliament are a necktie must be worn.
That is when he applied his clueless western racist symbolism.
If he doesn’t like the rules then petition for change as the democratic system that brought him to his privileged position allows him to do instead of pushing his constant carryons with western racism and white privilege.- 6
