  1. Footpaths. Don't use them and I walk 2 hours a day most days. They are danger traps not just for their dismal broken nature, head banging steel frames, bussiness in the space but also for the fancy tiles that are skating rings when wet. I walk on the road same place where the monks do but with the traffic coming towards so I have full view and control over my own safety. And thats on single lane sois or 3 lane roads.

Tuktuk and taxi drivers not being able to understand google maps and my southern deep tones pronunciation...no prob...put a thai family member on the phone to give them directions.

Soi dogs are aggressive and dangerous pests. They should be rounded up and destroyed.

I used to come here with the same knucklehead attitude to dogs displayed in this thread and the dogs knew it and many unnecessary actions ensured. Now I come here minus the knucklehead attitude and instead an open happy mindset and get on well with the soi dogs. And considering I do a 2 hour walk most mornings through the soi's I get to meet many dogs even the packs and alls sweet.

Only place I will never go is through a temple narrow gate early nornings or evenings without other people about as the dogs in there are doing their night watch job.

As for the one off dog on human tragedies for people to direct their own insecurities of Thai dogs, they happen in western countries too.

I agree, have a kid. Don't adopt. When it's 50% your dna it means more. Good luck.

The "blood is thicker than water" old fallacy?

Two kids from my 1st marriage all my DNA...oldest my son now at 43 is an outstanding man in every way and proud of him. My daughter lost tragically at 19 years old.

Another daughter fully my DNA now 35 that I have no contact with due to her destructive vindictive mother.  So much for DNA there.

Two daughters now 30 and 23 from a Thai father (so none of my DNA) who walked out on them when the youngest was born....another great Thai father. They came with my Thai wife 18 years ago when I brought all 3 of them to New Zealand. I become their Dad at the oldest daughters request when she was a skinny little 13 year old. Guided her and taught her everything I could, and still do as she comes to me rather than her mum for the critical and surprisingly heart affairs decisions in her life. For the 17 years she has been in my life she has given me one of the most amazing relationships I could ever wish for. Possibly as I was broken from the tragic lose of my own daughter. She has graduated university and at 30 owns her own highly lucrative business and has just build her own brand new luxury home. She is an awesome and stunning young woman in every way. There have been many moments that my heart just busts with proudness and love for her. One example in relation to your blood thicker than water comment was at her Auckland university graduation celebration where one of her Thai friends ridiculed the introduction of me as her Dad. Right in front of all her Thai friends she boldly came out with that I was the one who stands by her, guides her and loves her unconditionally and that she is the luckiest person in the world to have me as her Dad. She's wrong thou on being the luckiest person in the world. That's me, as I have been given the greatest gift ever of her and her unconditional love and trust and her calling me Dad....with no DNA input whatso ever.

DNA has nothing to do with it. Your ability to build with and love those who want the same does.

  4. Prayut is probably happy that MF has come out on top in the civilian parties lolly scramble.

Personally think he will be ensuring that MF leadership and party are not kneecapped in their bid to form the lower house. That then keeps the corrupt Shinawatra mafia clan under control and gives MF this election cycle to gain a stronger following and gain a stronger poll result next election.

The opposite of that is if MF leadership is knee capped then the Shinawatra mafia trash gets their hands on leadership and Thailand then stays in the constant cycle of the last 25 years of Shinawatra corruption and Army incompetence.

For Thailand's sake MF needs to lead the civilian government with Prayut's acceptance.

This case has gone way way beyond Chauvin and Floyd, it is now the the police vs black people in America. I can't see any outcome that is a good one

Is the Justice system in the US that flawed that it cannot be kept within the courtroom where a judge presides over evidence and a jury decides? Oh wait in light of the countless cops who have walked after killing innocent blacks I see what you mean. Did you know that even in this state alone as of December 2020 there were 129 cops on active criminal charges including a good percent for off duty shootings.

  6. Again articles like this along with comments show up how screwed up and backward America is. Here in NZ Tarrant an Aussie murdered 51 of our fellow Kiwi citizens and our modern western system put him in prison for the rest of his life. While a few Kiwi Neanderthals bemoaned the lack of the death penalty here the biggest debate has been over why should we Kiwis be picking up the cost of his life imprisonment and why isn’t he deported back to Aussie.  Thankfully the reality of that is the cost for having a modern civilized society won over.
What I find interesting with the two examples is the 51 Kiwi victims massacred by a non Kiwi whitey were Muslim and that Muslim section of our community mostly agree with imprisonment for life whereas in the US case the killer a US Islamic (?) citizen is to be killed by his own whitey system and fellow whitey citizens. Hell why not even have a public mass lynching and then for good measure a good ole boy burning like those blackies just a few years back. It seems that Salem was only yesterday in the US.

it's not a documentary, and yes the scenes are "produced", yet all the historical events depicted in the show are true and the reactions of the Palace and the characters in the Palace are "as is" according to insiders. What was actually said and where they were said are not "as is", but the whole ambiance and depictions of characters are very accurate according to insiders, like being there.

It does give an insight to the whole drama of why Megan feels rejected, it's not the first time that issue is being raised in that royal family.

Anyway, a very good show if you want to have a deep and intimate look at the Royal family ????

Perhaps the reason Markel feels rejected in that Royal family is found with that Royal family hiring external lawyers and investigators to examine claims from the Royal staff of bullying by Markel.

Bingo. Jacinda will describe a problem....and then Jacinda herself is always the solution. Worst Prime Minister in New Zealand in my lifetime, for sure.

But, but, but....You can’t say that as it is not being helpful nor kind. It’s not like the country can’t afford Cindy getting unhappy with us all and locking our wonderful team of five million down as Princess Cindy has those ever producing money trees in her magic garden to keep us all happy and content in drunken spree wonderment. I think you should join hands with your closest fellow Kiwis and sing a round of Kumbaya as penance for your unkind comment and rejoice that our wonderful world renowned leader has solved child providee, built 10,000 homes in no time to solve  the housing crisis, lowered house affordability, grown the NZ economy, unlocked the traffic chaos in Auckland, selling NZ country side to world polluters to plant monoculture pine in a sham carbon credit scheme etc etc. and all the time being the most kind PM we have ever had.....

the likes of assange exposes human and specifically organizations filthy nature, like for instance climategate.

he should be awarded nobels peace price

You would have a valid point if he just stuck to the US atrocities like the chopper hit on the innocent Iraqis I think they were. But he went far beyond that releasing information that put Americans at risk.
Well done Biden for holding strong on his extradition.
