  1. While there is widespread knowledge that any of the vaccines do NOT prevent transmission, just lessen severity of discomfort, I fail to see what difference such vaccinations are going to make. The only way to get through this economic disaster is either to do away with quarantine, or devise some cunning method of relieving tourists of their money without even allowing them into the country ????

90,000,000 divided by 3000 is 30,000 people on Koh Chang...really!

Now the 20,000 people trying to get back, each spending 2000 is 40M...more like it.

And domestic tourism is not injecting a dime into the economy, it's simply moving it around from other places where they may have spent it. What is needed is to allow an influx of tourists from abroad, but only if they are carrying a briefcase full of money ????

So they want to raise the minimum wage to $15./hour?  Why not $30./hour?  Better yet, how ‘bout $100.00/hour?

I guess Democrats don’t care about job losses.

All China needs to do is watch this ridiculous behavior and rest secure in the knowledge they will rule the world as far as the sales of consumer goods is concerned. Just raising minimum wages at political whim is what is known in mathematical terms as un unstable equation ????

  4. There is only one way to do this in a satisfactory and straight manner. As soon as the sale is agreed, you should take usually a 10% deposit and go to a straight lawyer (there are plenty !) and have yourself and the buyer sign the "purchase" contract whereby if he does not come up with the balance within the agreed time then all agreements are nullified and he loses the deposit. The buyer then has to provide the documentation from his bank that he brought the money into the country for the express reason of buying a condo, and the seller has to obtain a document from the condo  confirming that he has paid all condo bills to date. The seller then signs a P.O.A. (power of attorney) form with his lawyer, and the whole transaction should be completed the next day. Needless to say there are taxes to pay. Usually the transfer tax is shared 50/50 and the property tax is paid by the seller. For the meagre cost required, one would be daft to do this transaction yourself. A decent lawyer will be in the region of a few hundred bucks ???? I have done this perhaps 20 times and never had any problem ! From the buyers end of the deal, using a lawyer is the safe way of making sure that the property actually belongs to the "Seller", which believe me can be an all important part of the transaction ????

    It's definitely not.

For just half a million Americans it was the death sentence.

That's not even twice as many as died in WW II.

    Really no big deal.

Poskat did NOT say that "Covid was akin to a death sentence" ! He stated that the Thai government and World media had managed to convince the Thai population that this was the case which, as any sensible person knows, is absolute nonsense ????
