Easy pass uses an app, and is basically good for Bangkok based people.
For Pattaya people the 'M Pass' is better, as anyone can purchase and top up at any Krungthai Bank. Initial purchase is 1,000 baht (or more if you wish).
It is not tied to any car number, and the name is also not important, only must provide ID/Passport at initial purchase.
Thanks for your reply I have account at KT so I will be off to see them shortly ????

Can anyone help me please, I wish to get an Easy Pass can I get one in Pattaya been on the Website but application form seems to be only for holders of id cards I had heard that only Thai nationals can get pass but I don't think that's correct.

a flyover linking the bypass road, is no where near finished, as is the sukhumvit road underpass, nor are any of the access roads. apart from that its all ready to rock

That link is way out of date the one lane of the flyover is 90% complete and the other about 80% All the link roads with Sukumvit are completed inc underpass I would say 12 months is very realistic target.

I thought that was the point - Western governments don't do it to show their moral superiority
No Western governments don't do it because it's racism which is illegal

What? Which country, anywhere, states that?
"I have always thought amber means get ready to stop..."
You got that part right.

Unbelievable that any driver would not be aware of a pedestrian being dragged by his vehicle.
Brain dead bugger should not be on the road.
Don't know what sort of driving experience you have but I drove 44tonne trucks in the UK for 42years and believe me even now with multiple mirrors and cameras you cannot see every corner of the vehicle at one time and do you really think a human body under a 14 wheel 44 tonne vehicle would make a bump.
Tragic yes but pedestrians also have a duty of care.

How can that possibly be safe?
As an ex UK firefighter that was my thought,a ventilation system that actually spreads the the heat and fumes into another part of the building. AMAZING

That’s good considering the Brits cannot even deport people with terrorist links who are allowed to stay in the country because the European Court says it’s ok
Thats why we have Brexit sick of Europe telling us howto run our own affairs

After 6 months living the dream here I must agree I find Thai males on the whole particularly the older ones to be ignorant, ill educated and just bloody rude and miserable whereas many females seem to be happy, content and interested and seem to be happy to try and help the dopey farang

For how long is that or when can you terminate it?
Thanks for the report, as (expect for the insurance extortion) it follows the rules as they write it on the net.
I opened Bangkok Bank account last March using only tourist visa and gf address they also gave me life ins for 5k Bhatt didn't argue as many had told me that I couldn't have account with tourist visa so just assumed it was a way around

False info. presently you are way behind the times.
Good luck to anyone who "presently" thinks they can open an account with a visa exempt or tourist Visa only.
I opened a savings account last March with just a 30 day visa no problem what so ever, en-abled me to transfer money when I was back in UK so I was qualified with my 800,000 bhatt to get retirement visa in September.
