It sounds like her main bone of contention was the fact that you have been so many places in Thailand? How did she come to the conclusion that you have been to many places in Thailand by looking at your passport?
Perhaps he likes to visit different airports.

2) What rational reason does an IO have to decide "I'm gonna pick out this farang and just be an <deleted> to him because I don't like the look of him". We have no idea what information the IO had on our original poster. We are relying on one side of the story. But let's believe the farang because all Thais are inherently geared to make our lives more difficult, right?
My question is - do you expect the immigration officers in your home country to do their jobs and ask questions of people to make sure everything stacks up? I'm gonna presume yes. So why should you expect Thailand's immigration officers to be any different? Because you're a westerner you couldn't possibly be a criminal, right?
There is so much wrong with the logical flow of your argument that I don't know where to begin.
You're obviously high-maintenance so go on your way. You're not worth my time.

Up country...Khon Kaen. Im hoping next year I dont have to drag people up there with me. I know with marriage visas you only need to do it first year. The mountains of paperwork and jumping through the hoops I can deal with

I think the prevailing thought here, is that Bangkok Immigration generally follows the rules and don't makeup things to amuse themselves. I remember one c&*&t at Pattaya who used make up new requirements for the marriage extension. Never underestimate stupid people gravitating towards positions with some authority just so they can play with others.

Can I use 4 transfers of 120k every 3 months) to extend marriage visa? Instead of showing 40k every month? Why notshowing 52 statements with money coming every week while they are at it?
And deprive the banks of exorbitant fees on both sides? How dare you!

You can use your income affidavit from the embassy to apply for your extension. It is valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
No changes to extensions based upon being the parent of Thai.
That is such a comfort. To think the Thais don't want to hamstring the foreign fathers and mothers of Thai children just warms the cockles of my heart. We shouldn't worry in the least that they spit in the eye of the expat retiree's camel and make it difficult for them to stay.

Much like Charlie from Willie Wonka I have what is now a golden ticket. I got an income letter towards the end of December from the US Embassy. I am assuming I will be able to use this for my midyear extension of stay. Plan B is to use taking care of my Thai/American daughter and as I have read the current law, I only need to show the 400,000b that it is in the account as of that day with no seasoning required.
Is all this "crackdown" crap aimed at the retirement extension or is there chatter about extending for taking care of a Thai minor?
And another issue at airport : w re-entry retirement legit visa

Female cops too. How about we just take the vote from the females. I'd vote for that.
