I'm staying in a small village and they had a festival a while ago with those loud bass speakers going up and down the streets. The whole house was vibrating and my insides felt uncomfortable.
Girlfriend told me the local temple paid for 200k for it. I cringed at how rediculous it was, meanwhile the place is run down, power and water goes out often. That money could have been put to better use.

Vote with your wallet and take your girlfriend to a different country nearby. If she's not willing to go with you get a new girlfriend.
If Thailand doesn't want your money it's their loss.

This is a joke. But I noticed the dollar also dropped against the baht at the same time while the euro dropped earlier but quickly recovered. The baht has gone up again against most currencies.

This is the whole point of Brexit and the reason the brexiteers want it hard. Rees Moggs dad even wrote a book on it called Disaster Capitalism. They intend to destroy the UK economy to make themselves richer and all the turkeys voted for christmas to come early.

How low does the pound have to go before brexiteers have a rethink?
25 bht to the pound?
Most brexiteers have probably never left their own little corner of England and have no notion of how the pound is comparing to foreign currencies.

I went to immigration today and they didn't ask for anything. I just signed my name on the form, let them copy my passport, paid 2000b and it was done. No mention of a TM30.

The home is owned by her mum. Her grandpa helped build the home so it's not a rented property. I have asked her to write a letter for immigration confirming that I'm staying there, she has done that and photo copied her Thai ID for me but I don't know if that's enough.

Have you or she made a TM 30 report?
We did not do a TM 30 but I did write on the arrival card her address when I entered at BKK. I Have only recently found out about the TM 30 and I'm expecting a fine.

I'm in Thailand on a 2 month tourist visa that will expire soon and I want to extend for 30 days. I'm staying at my girlfriends family home in Udon Thani. Since I'm not staying at a hotel Is there anything I should bring with me to the immigration office?
Thanks for any info.

Well if we could conduct our business at any Immigration Office (as it used to be from what I hear), it might ease the workload at the busiest offices and increase the workload at the slowest ones. This would sure be more convenient for me.
Or they could just scrap the whole charade, but I guess they have to keep the office workers busy somehow.

Clearly the queues are too long because there are too many aliens in Thailand, time to tighten some more screws to lessen the load a bit.

Are we still able to get a SETV from neighbouring countries or do we have to be in the UK to do that?

I'm going to Thailand in a few months and have some questions about the SETV. I would like to stay in Thailand as long as possible using SETVs. I'm 33 years old but I'm not employed so I don't think I can apply for the METV. I make money on the internet but I don't have my own business. I understand that with the SETV I can stay for 60 days and then extend for 30 days before I have to leave the country, my questions are how many times can I do this if I leave the country and go to Laos or something to make a new SETV? How long do I have to stay outside of Thailand before making a new SETV? Does Immigration require me to have a flight booked to leave the country with an SETV?
Thank you for any information.

I'm planning a long stay in SE Asia (as long as possible). I have a girlfriend in Thailand for 3 years and I have visited the country many times but the stays were for only for 30 days a time visa exempt because I was returning to work in the UK. I have found a way to make money on the internet in the range of £1500-£2500 per month without selling physical products.
I was looking at the METV as an option, but I'm not employed by a company and I don't run a business, I make my money from freelance trading on my laptop. How would I go about obtaining this visa and would Thailand consider me making money like this as working in Thailand?
UK Entry Clearance Officer Address
in Visas and migration to other countries

I'm trying to apply for a UK standard visitor visa for my Thai girlfriend. I've written up the invitation letter but I can't seem to find the entry clearance officer address for the UK. Most of the templates I see online are showing something like this....
To:
The Entry Clearance Officer
British High Commission
[Address]
What should I put here? This is the last part of the letter I need to finish it. Thank you.
