That's why I a started the thread, I want to know what it is and how to fight it. My niece was given Amoxy-Clavulanic acid, often a good choice for tough bacteria,  but it's not clear how much better she is. There are two reasons AmoxyClav may not work, it's not a bacteria or it can't fight the bug.

  2. after my 2nd eye cataract surgery, (no problems with 1st surgery) my eyesight started to decline.

now after over a year with no glasses, it began to worsen, especially when doing computer work.

2 months ago I decided to have glasses fitted for near sight (computer work). However, couldn't get used to the constant put on/take off my reading glasses. thus today I went back to my Pattaya eye clinic behind Big C in Pattaya and had multifocal eyeglasses fitted again. They will be ready next week, and I hope that will solve my problem.

Recently made a Thai Will with a reputable law firm in Pattaya. In both English and Thai. 3 copies...one retained by the firm and the other 2 for us. It specifically states that my Thai bank account, SUV, electronic devices and optics + all other assets are to go to my gf, including any purchased henceforth. She is to contact our lawyer ASAP, after the pertinent local authorities, and they will assist with the process of executing the Will (probably for an additional fee, but that's OK, as she'll need the help). It cost B10,000 and well worth it for piece of mind knowing she has the proper legal documentation and assistance. Have seen others firms as low as B7500, but was impressed with the professionalism of this firm. Had previously downloaded a DIY Thai/English will and had it all done with 2 witnesses about 2 years ago, but decided that may run into legal entanglements.

what is the name/address of the firm?

    thank you

where can you buy these and what is the name for?

  5. It has been a week since the internet in soi Lengkee has been down.

Have heard it is because of having removed the "cable mess" above ground and moved to underground.

One would think that they should have tested the underground connections first before taking down the cables above ground, but I guess this is Thailand.

Whilst annoying, I went and bought some internet from True for 1 month, which doesn't seem to be very stable.

Anyone an idea when Internet in the various hotels will be working again?

  6. Hello

Sheryl seems to have very good answers to this topic!

My case: I had an epidural injection in the lower back in the Pattaya international hospital (Dr. Danai, Orthopedist) years ago and my backpain was completely gone for about 6 years.

Now backpain is back (some days not so bad, some days painkillers needed)

Also, I can no longer walk more than 50 meters, then need to sit and rest for 2 minutes.

went back to see the doctor recently and he did a scan. He then said, "no epidural needed" and gave me some painkillers.

getting worried that I might soon no longer be able to walk.

may be Sheryl has some advice, where to see a doctor (preferably in Pattaya)

  7. hi all

    any suggestions?

single person, 77 years old, living alone, no relatives (only friends)

have bank account in the US and in Thailand.

when I pass would like to donate money (whatever is left) to some friends and/or charity.

How can I set this up?

at the moment I have no idea how to get my account from the US to Thailand (working on this)

Account in Thailand, it is mainly about the 800.000 Baht that I deposited for my retirement visa.

should I make a last will? if yes, any suggestions how to?

where do I deposit my last will so that it will be found in case of sudden passing?

How can the beneficiary claim the 800.000 in my account?

so many questions. any advice is welcome, thank you.
