Mindanao is basically the last good place in Asia, unless after 30 years there are some mysterious paradise hideouts somewhere? Thailand REALLY <deleted> me off about 15 years ago already...never been back...But Mindanao getting better by the day...

This got THAILAND written all over it...15 or so years ago(the time when I decided not to ever set my foot again in that cursed cuntry) a story appeared in the paper of a high ranking police or army officer's son who got so angry after being stopped for drunken driving, he went to daddy's home, got a machine gun and shot up the police station...no charges was pressed...enough said...avoid...

Let us be honest here...when I arrived in London in 1991, the first attempt at stealing my South African army rucksack was about 30 seconds after the train took off, two big guys brazenly walked over casually and tried to 'confiscate' my bag lols...that situation was repeated plenty times...maybe 91 and 92 were bad years in London but crime was prevalent...

Check out Klub Safari in Surigao del sur, Mindanao, Philippines...Thailand too many horror endings for comfort...just people that I know personally...

Just head to Philippines, no visa hassles <deleted>...

OMG...this nightmarish visa regime ...thx God my last visit to Thailand was ten years ago and the writing was on the wall even then, loud and clear, and even on the toilet floor, but here in Philippines I have been coming up on 36 months consecutive stay with 2 months or 6 months extensions at one of the many immigration offices scattered throughout the country...never had a single question thrown at me, and couple of times overstayed without any problems...Thailand...BRRRRRR.....Philippines ROCKS!!

OMG...this reminds so much of the nightmarish visa regimes in places like China and I guess N Korea...thx God, and I am not even religious, but here in Philippines I have been coming up on 36 months consecutive stay with 2 months or 6 months extensions at one of the many immigration offices scattered throughout...never had a single question thrown at me, and couple of times overstayed without any problems, one time for 10 days, the immigration guy just smiled, turned the stamp date back and stamped as if I waqs on time......Thailand...BRRRRRR...one of the many reasons I hope never to be back...last visit was 10 years ago...Philippines ROCKS, a real different world out here...cannot imagine why grown men would put up with such nonsense in real sh*tty places like that!!
