  1. Hi, I'm selling an eight month old Yamaha Nouvo (fully automatic). Its a great bike - very easy to ride. Moving back to the UK so its gotta go.

The bike is in excellent condition with all up to date insurance and tax and registration book.

    37,000 Baht. (50,000 brand new!)

I just got a yamaha fimo for my gal and its only 42000 baht for a new bike.

  2. 30 Days extendable twice and then he should go back to his country of residence for 90 Days (or years).

Personally I think that this was the only course of action left to them after Thaksin refused to step down yesterday. He probably would have won the election again (voted in by the uneducated Farmers) and just carried on filling his pockets

Thaksin is a visa runner of thailand now.

  4. I think i am affected by the new rules cos i stay few mths (sometiems take around 6 mths) before i go back to my own country for a few mths. :o

THailand is no longer a paradise as it used to be since toxsin and co in power.

Try spending a few baht on a Visa and your problem will go away :D

I have been spending a fortune on my thai family and iam not going to contribute to the building of new airport ........... :D

  5. from the Las Vegas Sun.....

Every year, the Strip's biggest casinos - the ones that cater to the whales and other high rollers - loan huge amounts of cash to keep some gamblers betting.

It's a calculated risk, because sometimes the players lose that money and skip town or even the country without paying their markers.

In one case , filed in June, Caesars Palace sued Thai gambler Suchart Arnupavatham, claiming that it had advanced him $4 million in markers, that he gambled and lost it all, and that he then fled to his native country without paying the casino a dime.

    Ouch.

Its not surprising at all, its happen in thailand everyday.

  8. I could swear that I have seen bottles of Beer Lao in the coolbox of the Hash House Harriers last Saturday, but it could have been wishful thinking that distorted my perception.

    Limbo.

no limbo you did not see beer lao in the coolbox on saturday, but what you did see in my opinion was the best beer i have tasted in over 40 years of being a real ale supporter, LCR beer ie lan cang river beer from yunnan province of china, it would be an insult to speak your beer leos, beer changs cheers beer, even heinacan beer in the same breath as LCR beer.

pity you were on the wagon, but i hope you enjoyed the hash

    Hi soap.

Where did you get you supply of LCr beer in chiang rai ? presently i need to get it in chiang saen ...

  9. As serious as this board can be, please. Well, i am writing to get some serious answers, but i am not going to be upset if there are are few funny ones.

I noticed that Thailand was ranked 18th in the world as the best place to invest. (Beating Malaysia by quite a way, i was surprised to see.)

What sort of business would be the best to buy/capitalize with, on a budget of a million baht? Lets say the investor would be an expat, and the owner/manager of the business. (Makes me wonder whether just having a particular skill set would change the choice much, but lets see what people have to say.)

I look forward to reading your posts!

Write a book on ' HOw to avoid being cheat by thai" and sell it to foreigner here.

  14. Hi! I found in Thailand still there is no commercial arowana farm except imports from Indonesia,Malaysia and Singapore unlike Malaysia(Sianleng) and Singapore(Qianfu) have up-listing their companies in stock market by breeding arowana for exports to China,Canada ,Japan ,Taiwan and other asian countries.

I suggest,if you have some money and qualitfied to invest in this business why waste your time in other farming that long waiting for your return no doubt Thailand is the best place for fish farming, but,we must work smart don't work hard.

Please take a look at the website of how they selling the arowana in Thailand: http://www.aro4u.com/ scroll up and check the market price list,I reckon just to supply the local market you will make a fortune or you want to be richer you might apply for the CITES permit and export to China that they import thousands of young aros. from South Asian countries monthly.

If you doubt about this business you may search at google for asian arowana and forums to understand more abouth this species.more sites for you to view:

WOrth a try , chinese business man loves it cos its a sign of luck for them. I used to own a 10k plus red Arowana given by my dad.Its seems that singapore is the biggest exporter of arowana in the world. why ?
