It is not a matter of all land crossings being better than all airports. Each Thai entry point is different. It so happens that most land crossings are OK, and several of the larger airports are risky. Another consideration is that a denied entry at a land crossing just means you must return to the country you just came from. With a denied entry at an airport, you are usually returned to your point of last embarkation, but it is slightly unpredictable.

If I come back Thailand with a new passport ,IO can still check my history on computer at the airport??

Reserve a one way flight on Nok Air's fly ride service from Mukdahan to DMK. The fly via 3 regional airports.

    See: https://content.nokair.com/en/Booking/Where-we-fly/Flight-Service/Fly-n-Ride/Mukdahan

Air Asia offers the same service via Nakhon Phanom.

When I enter Thailand by air ,I usually get trouble,IO officer questions me "What I do in Thailand ,why do I stay long time,am I married or single...." although I was never asked such questions when entering Thailand by land borders....

  3. Hello,

I got my single entry tourist visa from Thai embassy in Savanakket.I want to come back Thailand by airway from Don Muang,as it takes too long travelling by bus to Rayong.

However,I worry about possibility of rejected entry at the airport,as I have three overstay stamps (one of it is 75 days) and one cancelled entry at Thai land border(Aranyaphet).

    detonated,

    Thank you for your post.

can you please tell me how much money and how proof is required for the Non O Immigrant Visa based on retirement?

Also what proof is required to prove retirement?

I already have extension based on retirement.

Due for renewal against August 27th.

Tossing up whether to stay with retirement or change to marriage.

I think 400k THB in account for Non O visa

I was there today as well. I got there at 630am i was one of the first 10 in line. I left at about 9:15 I didnt think it was that bad.

I am a little worried about tomorrow figuring everybody is going to be picking up visas. Any idea what time the visa run groups go to pick up there visas? Really dont want to be stuck behind 400 people picking up a visa.

Hi friend, did you apply for tourist visa

  6. I applied for a Thai visa from the consulate in Savanakkhet today. It was so crowded maybe more than 400 people. And embassy officers were getting applications very slowly,15-20 min for a person.I was lucky to arrive the embassy early in the morning at 7.00 am,however it still got so long and I am still extremely tired.Even I thought to go back home leaving embassy because of extreme hot and very slow process,I was likely to vomit... Very bad experience...

As Jack advised, get a tourist visa and then enter by land. There are several good consulates for the visa, but most require time consuming journeys to reach a land crossing. I agree with Jack that Vientiane or Savannakhet make sense for least hassle.

Thai embassy in Vientiane asked me to show 20k THB in my account to issue a single entry tourist visa.

There is limit on visa exempt by air. Limit 2 via border. 9 months? Depends if back to back etc. You must of extended most of your entries. Surprised you managed that. Over what period of time did stay for 9 months

Yes,I extended all my entries in immigration office

No, you have exhausted your land quota of Visa Exempt entries.

You need to fly back or get a visa.

Even then you may get questioned as to what you are doing in Thailand.

I have visa exempt entry by air 3 times and 2 visa exempt entry by land on my passport.I am in Thailand for 9 months.I am from Turkey.

  10. Hello,

I have two times visa exempt entry to Thailand by land borders within 2019.I am thinking to go to Malaysian Langkawi island by ferry and come back Thailand next day.Can I get another 30 day by that way although I have two times visa exempt entry by land in 2019. Can you inform me about that.

    Thanks in advance...
