  1. My thoughts tell me if wrong . Have been in many relationships over past 9 years with Thai woman both in Thailand and my home country , not really a bargirl type although enjoy the scene . No relationship or Thai real even if the girls average or in her 40s with teenage children its about $$ their Thai family and how they appear on facebook . I am now 49 yrs its my belief that I shouldnt compromise or expect anything real go for the stunner enjoy and get out .

Is there any european or other western country where foreigners can live on tourist visas a year or two in a row? I don't think so.

Even with the new rules and individual farang-hating IOs Thailand is a much easier place to stay for foreigenrs than most other countries I know.

In western countries Ie this case New Zealand more likely to be called Visitor Visa . My Thai gf has had 9 visitor visas totalling 5 years

I do not have a first hand experience but a close friend was arrested about a year ago. The police did not take him back to his condo but straight to the cells and told him that a friend could come to the station to get his key, go to the condo and bring back all the things that he needed. Some "tax" was "levied" on certain items though my friend eventually agreed to this. After his appearance at court the following Monday he was taken to IDC and the same friend brought more items and money before his deportation.

This best reply if arrested police will ask if want to contact your embassy . Put in cells with other non Thai until Court and then of to immigration all a 3 day process . People can come see you give items /food

    I disagree,

In his home country speaking Thai and English gives him no advantage, and he will end up with no Thai language skills.

In Thailand he's special and talented in a ways most of his peers can't compete.

The west ain't that good a place for young people these days.

Agree contemplating relocation October this year have always thought child better of being raised in Thailand .
