  1. Hi,

I just had my Moderna Booster at Med Park. Booked in advanced, and paid in advance, in all took 20 minutes.
I booked through using LINE app - you can add them and make your booking, @medpark.thailand
Cost for Moderna is ThB 1,650 - NO WALK-INS

    Good Luck.

"The pass can be downloaded via the Mohpromt application. However, the app currently accepts only 13-digit Thai ID numbers, meaning expats may have difficulty registering. "

This happens again and again... the simple solution to fix this repeated issue - is to issue encourage and issue the Thai ID (for a fee of course) (with an indicator that it is non-immigrant, non-work permit) to anyone with non-immigrant visa (annual).  The ID can have a link to the passport which means anyone holding it can leave their passport at home rather than bringing it for ID purposes (hotels etc.).

As far as I know they already have done this, its called the Pink ID card for Aliens. Please correct me if I am wrong....

No , I am sorry if I did not make myself clear. Yes - picture and sound quality may be better - but I hate the remote - I used my phone instead. I am very happy with the output from my new(ish) 85 inch Sony 4K Smart tv.

  4. From UK to Bangkok, we used a freight forwarder, bought a small portion of a container. The cost 15 years ago was about 500 pounds, we only shipped personal stuff, and like one of the other posters, we sold off everything else or donated to charity. Customs clearance was the only issue in Bangkok, they wanted 100k ThB for clearance , my wife negotiated it down to 40k ThB. They told her the reason it was high, and this was my only real error during our move, was, I put all the shipment in my name, if I had used my wife Thai name, there would have been no fee at all. Lesson Learned.

  5. Matt199,

For the VAT side of things, GulfSailor has hit the nail on the head -

I have been running my own business here in Bangkok for 12 years, I have had a few clients who just refused to pay, bad debt. Eventually they did pay, my solution was quite simple - A quick search on the internet for letters people of posted from lawyers in an attempt to recoup money. I edited this letter to suit my needs, and added in a structured payment scheme xxxx amount per month etc, like a bank loan. I told them that if they don't choose this option, then the police will called to their offices - Failure to pay an official invoice is a crime, (Fraud).  After this email, all 3 of my bad debts, contacted me, said sorry and paid their dues.

I hope this helps. It's worth a try.

  6. Hi,

I use IPTV, it has everything from USA and pay yearly 3,500 ThB, plus you get all the Premier League soccer German and Spanish football. Lots of Movies On Demand as well as Series..

PM me if you need more information

    Thanks

  7. I thought most modern built houses already has the pipe system built in, I know ours does out in Min Buri. We pay 5k a year for the bug guys, they come out every 3 months. For an extra ThB 1,500 they even fumigate all the drains and water points for Mosquito. Most of our neighbours don't bother with the bug guys. They now pay the price, one house really bad, cost ThB 400k to set right. Idiots. Best set is to find a local but repellent company to come out and see what's what.
It will be money well spent in the long run......

    Good Luck

  8. I agree with most of the comments about the fee, however, what you might not know is, perhaps the gas needed replenishing, the most common one is R-410A, however, there is an expensive one, which Panasonic used to use, I know coz I still have one at home, is R-32, so it is possible you were charged for a GAS top up.

    Thanks....i,ll give it a try

Been using various streaming sites for years but not working very well nowadays

I use IPTV through a "Supplier" based in UK. I pay about 70 pounds a year - a real bargain - but like you I have noticed that recently I get lots of buffering, I have a fibre connection 300 MB - I spoke to both True and AIS about my streams buffering, they said, they DO NOT choke the connection (BS) I reckon. So I invested in a VPN, and BOOM, everything is perfect again. PM me if you need more info about my IPTV provider.

  10. Hi,

It seems that they are Wireless Access Points rather than wifi extender.

WAPs can be configured in the router itself. The internet cable from each one, should run back to the router. or to a Bridge.

The 2 WAPs that go offline, depending on the router, can be configured to go offline if they are not being used. You will need to check the router settings.

If the router is Not very advanced functioning wise. I can see no reason why they would shut off other than the being faulty. Have done a google search?.

Without actually seeing it and logging in to the router its very difficult to asses.

  11. Hi,

Can some one please explain the TM 30 to me?

I have lived here for 13 years, I am married to Thai, I have yellow Book and Pink ID, I have a work permit and a yearly ext of my Non O B visa.

Do I need to submit a TM 30 when I apply for my extension?

Should I have already filled one out when I arrived last time from overseas holiday?

Please any information would be good.
