  1. I'm going to take an educated guess and say that you have an American passport.

This is the reason you are being denied usage. If you have an immediate family member (or someone you trust) that has a passport from a different country, give them the money and ask them to transfer. American passport holders are on an 'untrusted' list unfortunately. 'Untrusted' doesn't mean they don't trust you personally, it means that financial services are sceptical of the legitimacy of the USA and the current display of idiocracy that has been highlighted by the ineffectiveness of their government in recent years. We call it 'idiocracy suppression', that is; to limit and undervalue areas in which Americans can have a negative effect on economies worldwide, just by getting off a plane in said country. Americans right now are best left in their own country as they are conveniently culling themselves. I understand it doesn't help your own situation, but the international financial market will indeed be better off in the long run. With threats to national security being instigated by the actual POTUS himself, financial services are agreed that the transfer of monies internationally could lead to a backlash of legal problems, due to the immense amounts of money that are being transferred out of the USA right now as the top 1% look to keep their money safe. We in the banking sector see this as a legitimate threat to profits, the American dollar is currently at an artificial level. In March next year there is a predicted crash to the dollar which will cause instability around the world and we would prefer it was localised rather than affect other nations, especially the UK which has the been the financial hub for some time.

'Separating the wheat from the chaff' is a good analogy to use in this case.

    Hope this helps.

  2. I don't follow him to be honest, I find him a bit whiney, like you lot.

He's also a bit thick of you ask me with this duel-pricing thing. Rather than name and shame businesses/attractions, he should have been proactive and instead celebrated and advertised places that DON'T duel price, that way he can help businesses that don't play that game, and he wouldn't come across as some upstart who thinks he's got more clout than he actually does.

He'll live, no need to cry onto your keyboards.

Glass is half full rather than empty, use it to your benefit rather than your detriment. I would enjoy my ugly mug in 25ft poster, no one else would but in a country like Thailand the opportunities with that are endless. Say your a model and some will believe. Obviously if you have a visa issue maybe best keep a low profile or grow a beard. Stand below it with a kiss for 100 baht.

Haha! If it was in Nana I'd be right up for that idea, but I'm in Pathum Thani, and let's just say I'd rather pay them 100 baht NOT to kiss me.

  4. Hi. I started working at an international school last March and a month in the school photographer came round taking photos of our class. A week later someone told me jokingly I was now 'famous' and to take a walk down the road.

On the corner of a major intersection there was a 25ft high Billboard advertising the school with my face on it. I won't lie, I was a mix of flattered and pissed off, nobody had asked me if I wanted my.photo up there, but I was new to the school (and teaching) so I didn't want to kick up a fuss. It never really say well with me though.

Anyway, I left the school in January due to let's say, not being happy with conditions there, and now work at another school not a million miles away. As I left before the end of my year contract they have said I am liable to pay back all holiday that I took as I was only entitled to 'enjoy' that on completion of the year contract (this was to get out of paying me my last months wages). That's not my gripe, my gripe is that they are still using my image to advertise the school and of course it may be a conflict of interest now considering I am at another school.

Do I have any legal recourse?
