Ubonjoe, I have a question, my retirement extension is up for renewal November 11, and my passport expires September 2021, so I am planning to get a new passport before renewal so I can get a full year extension. My question is should I get a new passport here in Bangkok, or if I am able go back to Canada (if things have opened up by then) get it there, and when I returned to Thailand, would I show immigration both old passport (that's where the extension and reentry permit is) and the new passport, then go and do my extension renewal, or would it be easier to do new passport and extension before I leave Thailand. Thanks
I got a new passport and just took it to immigration they give me a formto fill in and it took about 15 min and restamped my new passport. Then 2 months later i was renewing my extention. I took 2 lots of photo copy of old and new. When i got there they said no need for the old ine just the new one

None

Is it though? Many countries are fearing, due to the lockdown there will be a baby boom the like of which we've never seen before. Banning alcohol would surely mitigate the effect.
Not as daft as they look, these Thais.
How can you say that?????? Millions of thai jobs are dependent to the sale of beer its mad the goverment is losing billions and they cant see it

I saw it here in Pattaya. People gathered drinking alcohol at many places without any social distancing and to be able to drink of course without any masks. But this is only one of the problems. Many people are desperate at the moment and could use alcohol to get over it. And not all can handle it. Would lead to violence, accidents, crimes, suicides, ...
Thats incorrect millions enjoy a nice beer at home aftet work if there was groups of people drinking thr policecan deal with them but to stop good guys from chilling out st there home is wrong

I think they should lift the beer ban... for those thousands of law abiding citizens who just want a normal social drink while cocooned up at home.
But make it abundantly clear, anyone caught drinking outside their property or in any kind of public place other than at home you will be hammered hard !
Why punish the masses for the ignorance of the few?
7i agree but i just been reading the braindead people who put the ban on are only allowing2 days 1st and 2nd of may to get beer then a ban is back on
-
