Ask yourself, if anyone ever makes an accusation against you like this one but without video evidence, just eyewitnesses, would you expect to get thrown out of the country and banned for life?
Lets just assume that in this case you didn't do it, but someone wanted rid of you and their friends are backing them up.
It's getting very easy to have any foreigner removed from the country these days. That is dangerous, some of us have lived here for decades.
It's my understanding that the incident was recorded on camera, either by CCTV at the property or by the man himself using his phone.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Dear Folks,
Some time ago, maybe today, some NITWIT sent me a PM and asked me to change my writing style.
I would most happily oblige, except that....
I, me, myself, and I, have NO writing style.
Asking me to change my writing style would be like asking Sir Alec to remove his White Suit.
According to this MEMBER, I cause affront.
Affront is not my intention, I can assure you.
It is only most of the NITWIT Farangs in Thailand that cause me affront.
So, anyway....
If you wish me to stop posting....
And....
I think that you do....
Then....
I will.
I will not submit my blessed scribblings where they are not appreciated.
And, if this makes your day.....
Then, I am very happy to have been of some service to you.
Best regards,...and....
As always....
Gamma
The fact that I can normally correctly guess that you're the poster of a topic simply by reading the topic title suggests that you do indeed have your own (unique) writing style.
However, GG, if you genuinely want to find out how welcome your presence is on here then why not put it to a vote with a simple poll?
Go on, I dare you!

Cards are not yet issued to accounts opened from Thailand.
I too, was shocked upon opening an account with Wise a few days ago, and also transferred money to myself and received it within seconds!
But what blew my mind was that the money was transferred and put into my Bangkok Bank account in the middle of the night!!!!
Previously, all monies I received via bank transfers was at the mercy of exactly when the staff at head office felt like depositing it, morning or late afternoon, and then after closing, it was game over for that day, and we'll try again tomorrow!!!!
Having money transferred from both Canada and the States to my Bangkok Bank account at all hours, 24/7 is a game changer!
Go Wise!!!!
Regarding the speed issue, my understanding is that when you make a transfer from, say, America to Thailand, your money is actually only going into Wise's American account. There's then a second transaction from Wise's Thai account to the senders Thai account, so no international transfer has even taken place (at that time).
Of course, the main reason why banking's now so much quicker is due to greater digital automation, with much less reliance on physical human intervention.
Like you, I'm certainly not complaining.

You do realise that many of the things expats enjoy only exist - or only exist to the extent with which they exist - because of all the tourists that visit the country.
You can't have it both ways I'm afraid.

I have no real interest in bikes but I've gotta say I really enjoyed seeing the great photos.

B400, or possibly B350, seems to be the lowest price you can pickup 'real' wine for (Wolf Blass from Australia being one example). Anything less than that is almost certainly fruit wine.

Great, thank you very much for letting me know.
I'm planning for the future so still unsure where I'll be based but will research further if and when the time comes.

Well I'm genuine, so hopefully the visa is too.
I have every intension off attending the classes (Thai language).
-
Although plenty of recourses are saying it's possible to apply for an education visa when you're already staying in Thailand on a tourist visa, I can't find anything stating this only applies to single entry tourist visas or whether it also applies to multiple entry tourist visas.
Hopefully someone can clear this up for me.
Many thanks.

There's an old Thai saying:
The husband is the fore leg of the elephant, the wife is the hind leg - สามีเป็นช้างเท้าหน้า ภรรยาเป็นช้างเท้าหลัง
Make of that what you will.

Really outside my areas of expertise, so I have no idea whether suitable, but I believe Nova is well respected for their work.

The time in the late 90s and early 2000 when I was in secondary, there were about 5 British pedophiles caught from different schools. Why is it often British though? No hate and all as I had brilliant British teachers too. I'm just curious that most of the pedophiles caught here are British.
Because there's a disproportionate number of teachers hailing from the British Isles?

I was in contact with them recently but in the end did the border bounce myself as I wanted to break the journey up with a night or two somewhere (and save some money).
Although I ended up not using their service the guy I was communicating with was indeed very friendly and helpful. They seem perfectly legit as a company, unlike a couple of other websites I found who never got back to me.
Assuming you're Bangkok based you'd be using the Ban Laem crossing. If you have time I'd recommend going to the Cambodian market (Thai side of the border) if you're interested in stocking up on some interesting (strong) Cambodian beers.
Good luck. -
Thanks for all the replies.
From Chanthaburi I'll be traveling to the Ban Laem border crossing with Cambodia. I'm assuming there'll be regular vans or songteaw's (from the bus station) covering this route but can anyone actually confirm this for me ahead of time?

Have used the mini bus that operates from behind Numchai, on Sukhumvi, a few times.
Always found the driving was OK, no excessive speeding, that may have just been my luck.
Very helpful, thank you.
Do you have any idea what kind of times they leave Pattaya?
-
Hi,
Does anyone know whether there's some kind of bus or van running between Pattaya and Chanthaburi?
TIA

Yes I know - I was referring to immigration at Central Festival.

Two border run companies:

https://www.chiangmaiborderrun.com/
However, as stated above, cheaper to take the Green Bus and do it yourself (and not difficult). But bare in mind that you may need to book the bus tickets a good few days in advance.

Exactly where is it and what services do they provide there?
There's plenty of info on Google Maps, including photos of signs/posters indicating the various services they offer. (Sorry, I'm not able to post a link.)

John actually has a twin brother (maybe identical) who owned Cosmos Bar in Patpong, Bangkok, although its sadly no more. I mentioned John to him once and he just dismissed it, so perhaps they don't get on.

You may have more luck posting this in the Pattaya forum.
Just a thought.

Yes this is the part that I wonder about. In the near future i'm planning on working 6 months in the uk then having 6 months off in Thailand, then repeat each year. An employer is not going to give me a letter, obviously not retired, could I just use 6 months pay slips ?.

Last month I enquired about this with the Thai embassy, London, although I had already provided them with a simple letter from my employer by the time they sent their reply.
This was our email exchange:
"Can you please also help me understand what is meant by ‘A confirmation letter from employer, School, Self-assessment, Pension statement’ when applying for a multiple entry tourist visa?'"
"Just put your bank statement in there."
Hope that helps
