Just to confirm that I am reading this correctly. I can go to Savannakhet and get a multi O visa which will last one year and within that year I can then add a retirement extension to that visa.
-
If I obtain a multi entry O visa on my visit to Savannakhet will this visa last for one year and within that year I will need to do my 90 day reporting if still in Thailand but within that year I can then apply for my retirement extension.

Yes my wife Thai, I will look up Savannakhet and may do a trip out that way if its easy to a multi entry O visa. I have Thai bank account but as you can see not much knowledge about the visas.

My goal is to get my multiple entry retirement visa back as the swing dates at the moment on the vessel are very flexible stretching longer than shorter. Would it be better if I came in on a 30 day extension then leave the country , say to Singapore to obtain a multi entry O visa.

I will be Staying in Thailand for around eight weeks before returning to Abu Dhabi. I haven't all the information needed with me to apply at the embassy in Abu Dhabi

Thanks for the replies.
Is this correct . When I arrive back in Thailand after the 25th and obtain a visa for permission to stay for 30 days. I then can then go to the immigration office in Korat with the normal papers that is required for the Category O visa along with my wife with her papers and have a multi entry retirement extension added to my passport without leaving the country.

At present Im off shore Abu Dhabi as picked up a job. I have a Non-Immigrant type O-A visa with a retirement extent ion that will expire on the 25th of March and it looks like that I will not make the dead line in time before my annual renewal of my retirement and visa is due. I am trying to get back into Thailand in time but it is starting too look like next to very unlikely.
Could you please give me some advise on the following.
1. can I get any extension on the expiry date 25th March.
2. If I re-enter Thailand on a visa on arrival visa would there be any problem
3. I presume then I would need to go outside of the country again to obtain a new O-A visa. Which would be the best place country close to go to obtain one and what documents would I require. I live in Korat and have a bank account in Thailand and one in the U.K.
not sure which direction to go at the moment. Thanks
