sorry, but you are wrong to suggest this is a thai trait, back home the council in a small town near me decided to cut down around 30 mature deciduous trees for apparently no reason, they did it overnight which was particularly sly. and once they're gone thatorry but you are wrong to zuggest ,..

Sorry but you are wrong to suggest this is not a Thai trait simply because back

home they do similar..,  A trait is not something that has to be unique. Suggest you looking up the definition.

I get that....   but I don't think they (supermarkets) all operate to the same rigid rules, even from 'country to country'... 'chain to chain' and 'branch to brach'....

... And this is where we commonly see posters falling foul because they lack the ability to step outside of binary thinking and recognise that there is no singular rule and the reality across branches, across chains and across nations is that variation exists and relies purely on demand and delivery cycles.....

... Yet, in this thread some people have made this a 'Thai only Issue'....

So the question really begs (IMO at least), are those people being a dash 'Thai-bashey' with such opinions ????

The problem with your argument is this is a Thai forum therfore the vast majority of criticism is by definition going to be about something Thai . If you can't understand that then maybe this is the wrong forum for you since you simply make yourself look like a Thai apologist.

    Let's just agree to disagree

In other countries they have staff to resupply when the shop is closed.

not true, in the uk supermarket shelves are re-stocked during shop open hours

try not to see criticism through the lens that if something is not right it must be because it's thai/thailand.  :coffee1:

Likewise try not to see denial through the lens that if something is not right it must be because it's not thai/thailand.  :coffee1:

so... if all the products on the shelf have been sold they should not re-stock the shelves until the shop is closed? that's common sense? it's certainly an ineffective business model.

and if products aren't available on the shelf you wouldn't complain, you'd be happy to wait until the next day to buy those products?! really?!

Not at all. They are you're words not mine.

Of course they should try and restock shelves as and when stock is running low. What they do however is wait for the stock to run so low that is necessitates them bringing a huge pallet board onto the floor blocking ailes and causing an unnecessary hazard and inconvenience  to shoppers. No doubt if they run one of these unstable pallets into a customer it will all be the customers fault.

I remember one of these promotions not so long ago. 12% discount. Thing is the put the price up 12% and then discounted that price by 12%. 0% savings from the previous day's fare.

Sorry but that's plainly not true. If they put the original price up 12% and then discounted the resultant price by 12% you still received a discount on the original price. That's just basic maths.

No, I m not confused, I am asked every time.   There are notices posted in Nana Post Office, for instance, warning that original ID/passport is required for all overseas mail.  Which specific Post Office are you referring to that doesn't enforce this

I tried to ask a serious question and got in fine answer, actually quite good...

    Question:
Dependant visa for schoolchild on ED visa?

Answer (after a little while thinking):
If a child is studying in Thailand on an Education (ED) visa, their dependent (e.g. parent) can apply for a dependent visa. This dependent visa is known as a Non-Immigrant O visa. The dependent visa will allow them to stay with the child and become their legal guardian. To apply for a dependent visa, you will need to provide the required documents to the Thai embassy or consulate in your country. These documents typically include the child's ED visa, proof of relationshi

So without any reference to Thailand in your question it gave that answer  ?
