You can try the rubber band trick and isolate the last part of the passport. He/She can still thumb through it to check but it will discourage most of them from going through the trouble of taking the rubber band off to completely access the remaining pages.

Long ago ,with normal stamps, visas and extended layovers I had to order  new pages a few times.

I Eventually began opting for the  larger U.S. passport book with more pages, at no additional cost, by checking the 'large book' box at the top of the DS-82. Other countries might do the same....

Why?   Some might think they are doing you a favor by leaving room for a visa sticker if you already have a few from previous trips so it might not simply be a spiteful or malevolent act.

That was in reference to a different  robbery. The police were putting the  Modus Operandi  of this crime together with a similar crime committed against   Thai female caddies who were recently robbed .    There are no charges filed or confessions given at this point.

On January 24th, Thanyaburi police captured the British teacher at a house in Mueang Pathum Thani. However, the suspect fainted after the police showed up. The police then urgently transferred the suspect to Pathumwet Hospital for medical treatment.

   Not to get into a pissing contest about suffering, but I also have periodic bouts of optical migraines along with the steady ringing noises from the tinnitus.  This leads me to believe that there is some type of electrical imbalance in my system. A voltage meter placed on my skin shows a steady charge of about  200 millivolts where the average human is said to have a lot less at around 70 millivolts

For me it boils down to the same thing that happens when a  wire with too much electrical gain amplifies a humming noise.  We are the result of  hundreds of thousands of years of  evolution. I'm just not sure if the problems are  from humanity's' distant past or for the distant future...

Music helps. I have an extensive playlist of most genres  of music to keep myself distracted by trying to memorize the part of every single instrument or voice.  Got a music scholarship in  the late 1960s because the steady tones allowed me to mimic the gift of perfect pitch so it's not all bad news to report   .......

    Yes.... All of the evidence so far seems to confirm your suspicions ....

These two were arrested based on the same location reported . The same type of blue motorbike .The  same type of helmet with white emblem. Same type of blue shirt with logo as the guy who attacked the woman in the video. Same description as the getaway driver.

  A total of 4 robberies were reported with the same details .

A quick response by Khlong Tan and Phra Khanong police led to the swift arrest of two armed robbers, 20 year old Sakarin and 21 year old Prinya. Sakarin was apprehended at his residence in the Regent Condominium, while Prinya was caught in his rented room in Soi Phatthanakan 20.

Unbelievable that there were so many gullible stooges posting here in defense of someone who considered your time as less valuable that his. Correction , not one but two people who considered your time as less valuable than theirs. You are not a baggage clerk, a hotel bell hop, a train porter or a personal coolie waiting to be assigned to a task for a meager wage or tip. What was really at stake was not the loss of the bag.

It was the worry free fun and frolic that he THEY would have had to sacrifice,   at your expense. They could have easily shared the responsibility . It was not an emergency and  definitely did not override any social protocol of being considerate to other human beings in need of help or respite from suffering.

  (2021 Halloween)  I once had a pair of guys wearing dresses  go ballistic on me for not taking a photo of them with their  phones for Fakebook at an  airport (LAX).  I have Tinnitus so I generally wear a combination of ear plugs and headphones . Initially when they came up to me waving the phones I handed them a pad and pencil to write down what the hell they were on about. I declined their invitation to simultaneously waste my time and miss my flight . Then the shouting began so I took the headphones off and the plugs out to find out that I was a  homophobe , probably a racist  and how one of them had fought in the US/ Iraq war to protect me. The laughing did not help calm them down . I had to catch my flight so I left them behind while still hurling insults at me...... Sometimes you have to cut the chord and move on.

Looks like it's tit for tat between  the Turks and the Thais  in the swindle market......

For the record, there was a "Lonely Planet" warning back in the 1980's about intervening in incidental fights or arguments while travelling. Though not in this case, the scam was to set the tourist up for fleecing via directly robbing him or accusing him of bodily injury by  members of the fight or fracas. A couple of guys tried it on me in Paris  at about 3 in the morning in 1984 . I just kept walking and laughed like crazy at the guy screaming for help from the other guy who was pretending to beat the crap out of him. It was as if they read the book line by line.

If it's really something serious calling the police after I clear the area might be an option.  There's been a rash of good Samaritans getting shot in the head lately....
