Same as MJCM, 3 issued, 2 different provinces, on day asked for.
Why is someone doing it for you ?
I’m doing it with my wife but we needed the local head man to sign some documents as well.

Hi can anyone advise me on how long it takes to get a yellow book?
I took all my documents along with the local head man to our local office and submitted them. Two weeks later we still hadn’t heard anything so I got the wife to send the guy a message on line, he replied to say he had lost everything, great, so we sent him photos of all the copies. The next day he thankfully found all the documents and assured my wife that he would get the book done ASAP. Another 3 weeks have passed now and we haven’t heard a thing, my wife seems to think we should just wait but I can’t believe it would take 5 weeks.
any advise would be most welcome.
thanks

Not sure if this will still be read after this amount of time.
Sorry to go back to this but does this latest amnesty (until 27th Sept) solve my problem, can I wait until after my visa expires and then apply for the 1 year extension based on marriage at which time my money would have been in my own bank account for 60 days?

Hi
I have managed to open an account at Krungsri bank and will be depositing the money tomorrow.
my concern now is that if I apply for my marriage visa 15 days before my 60 day extension expires the money will have only been in my bank for less than two months, actually even if I go on 29th Aug the date my 60 days expires, it would only have been in my account for 59 days.
not sure if this will be an issue.
Thanks for your help so far.

Hi
Im just back from a trip to Jomtien IO to try and extend my 90 day non o visa that expired on 30th May. After running around and getting extra copies that they asked for I was then told that the 400,000 THB that’s been in the account since February wasn’t sufficient because it’s a joint account with my wife so it should have been doubled (800K).
They gave me a 60 day extension to open an account in my own name to transfer the money into, despite my telling them that BKK Bank require a 90 day visa as a minimum.
So off we trot to BKK where we already have 2 joint accounts only to be told I need a years visa, even after I explained to the same guy that he had already told me a 90 day visa was acceptable he wouldn’t budge.
Im stuck now and have no idea how to move forward without leaving Thailand.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

have you done a 60 day wife extension
Their website is showing the same message that they are closed due to the covid-19 virus.
I haven't done any extensions yet this is my first attempt.

You could try at Banglamung or Sriracha or Pattaya City hall.
If completely closed it must be a temporary measure. Others reported have been only doing birth and death certificates.
Edit: Or one near you in Rayong province. Perhaps Ban Chang would be one to try.
Thanks, I will try some other offices, assuming I can find the addresses, I’m sure google can help.

Hi all
i recently arrived in Thailand with a non immigration o visa. Last week I went to Jomtien immigration to apply for a visa extension based on being married to a Thai, they gave me a T.M. 7 form and nothing else. Today we returned to the immigration office with completed TM7 and all the relevant supporting documents according to all the info I could find on line. After queuing for nearly 2 hours before finally getting my documents checked, only to be given a letter showing what documents where actually needed and guess what some of those we didn’t have, we then drove to the office where we were to obtain a Khor Ror 2 only to find all offices are closed due the COVID-19 virus.
So I’m stuck and have no idea where to go for further info on how to more forward, apart from returning to the immigration office and queuing for another 2 hours to ask.
Any advise or contact details for immigration would be great fully received.

I'm heading that direction myself next year. Just extended based on retirement today. Two days under the wire before the new police order takes effect, so it shouldn't matter anyway whether I draw money out of the 800K THB in the next three months or not. But I'll draw that account back down to 400K THB near the end of the year and go back to the Extension Based on Marriage on my 2020 renewal. I'm thinking that they'll be processing a whole heap of marriage extensions next year as those of us who are married simply don't want our local funds tied up by bureaucratic nonsense with the new retirement extension rules that clearly penalizes those of us who are here legally and who are playing by all the rule instead of going after the agents and bent IOs who are offering services, illegally, to foreigners who are unqualified for retirement visa extensions. That's the root problem, but that doesn't seem to ever be addressed by those making these laws. Just hammer the foreigners. Oh well, back to marriage extensions. Wonder if they can pass laws making that extension more complicated before the beginning of next year? I'm sure they can.
One odd thing this extension though. Every previous extension for years they have reset my 90 day reporting date to match my extension date. I even had the TM47 with me. They said "No" they didn't want it. So back next month to process a 90 day report. No big deal, but just different. It’s all new to me I’m still in England, just planning for later this year unless it all goes tits up.

You can get a single a non-o visa based upon marriage. A single entry visa would allow one 90 day entry and multiple entry visa would allow unlimited 90 day entries for one year from the date of issue.
You can apply for single entry non-o visa at the Thai embassy in London or one of the honorary consulate. A multiple entry non-o would have to be applied for at the embassy.
After arriving here you could apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage at a immigration office.
Thanks, I will most likely just go for the 90 day single entry then, I wasn’t sure if I could get a year marriage visa before I left England. Guess I was hoping for to much.

Hi
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere (New to this site), but I’m trying to find out if I can apply for a marriage visa whilst I’m still in England. We are hoping to live in Thailand from December 2019.
Any help or suggested reading would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
Wild lettuce

Hi
has anyone been able to grow wild lettuce from seed here in Thailand?
I’m in the Chonburi province, my understanding is the soil temperature needs to be below 80 or 85 degrees.
last year I purchased a packet of seeds and tried to germinate them but nothing grew.
Any help or advice would be great.
thanks
