    Using testmy.net to London I get 93Mbps on my TOT 500Mbps fibre and no VPN.

    Using Ivacy VPN's London server and testing to london I get 20Mbps.

     

    What do you get to London with no VPN?

     

    10Mbps ought to be enough to watch BBC iPlayer outside UK if it's reasonably stable, make sure you've not got the fixed HD quality set.

     

    Google for smart dns technology to watch BBC iPlayer. It's better then VPN for video streaming.
