Yea, let’s see starve to death, lose your livelihood, and commit suicide, like so many have, or ride out a virus with a 99.9 survival rate.
friend went to the doctor for seasonal allergies which he gets every year, found out it’s not allergies its covid! Everything is covid.

i'm going to bet against his forecast. the death numbers will be below 100/day in october. death numbers can be hidden but they are far more reliable than cases. so the death numbers will be better, not the same or worse. the case numbers are meaningless due to the weak testing program.
I’m sure you will find a little corona crit in everyone, if you don’t just turn up the cycles until something shows up.

If it’s just a big conspiracy, and there are no problems with a so called vaccine which has yet to be approved by the FDA, why have a Government agency dedicated to reporting adverse reactions to vaccines? You want to be a giuena pig, in the biggest vaccine trial, go for it!

You are playing with numbers to create incorrect scenario. Deal with the facts not with numbers you take out of context. In 2019, there were approximately 4400 suicides. Thailand has the highest suicide rate in SE. In late 2020 one article in a questionable media outlet stated that suicides in the first half had increased to approximately 2500 from 2100 for the same period. Fine. Sad that there is an increase but hardly significant in the overall scheme of things. More importantly, there was no conclusive evidence that this was due to Covid19 economic issues. To be certain, the deceased would have to leave a note or give reason, yes? And most suicides do not. You have no idea if the increase is due to economy or because of general fear or mass hysteria, but instead you make guess and offer it as fact.
Worse is that you try and pass the full 2500 as due to Covid economy crisis which is NOT the case.
Here is where you put ball in your own net; You make false conclusion about Thai economy. Yes, the tourist trade has collapsed, but the rest of the Thai economy has remained strong. Manufacturing,Third party services, agriculture, food processing has all continued and even expanded. The unemployment rate is lower today than it was 10 years ago. The official unemployment rate as of December 2020 was 1.49% The unemployment rate in 2001 was 3.3% and at the start of 2020 before Covid19 took hold it was 1%. Most of the people who lost their jobs were foreign workers. Hundreds of thousands of them went back to Myanmar and Cambodia. yes the unemployment rate increased, but the 1.49% is still considered to be a state of under employment and Thailand still has a labour shortage.
Some years ago when I remember reading how many in Thai Visa were blaming Thai government for farmer suicide because of rice purchase scheme. All sorts of claims were made that government made thousands kill themselves. it wasn't true then, and it is not true now. Thailand has a serious mental illness problem and these suicides are troubled people who have been living on edge for long time. Yes, some people have killed themselves during the Covid19 crisis, but it is not as bad as you make it to be.
Thailand’s alarming suicide rate. An inside Asia documentary.

And then we have this very offensive post that equates responsible precaution as being nazi and makes false claim about Co2. How obnoxious and ignorant. Instead of making false claim, why not show the evidence that there is an issue with CO2 in mask. You can't because there is no issue. if there was, the health professionals wearing them for the past year would all have brain damage or be dead. Most people are not wearing the type of mask you reference- they are using exam type, but that is beside the point.
Nothing is happening? A simple search will show that ICUs are over run with admissions now in excess of capacities with result that Ontario canceled all non emergency surgery. No room in ICUs so people sent to far away regions. Leader of province begs for medical help. British Columbia is forced to impose no travel restriction. I see that last week, because of the crisis, many provinces have introduced tougher travel restriction. Quebec bring back it curfew and stopped travel. It looks like it is working as new cases are starting to level off although ICU admissions increased. british Columbia has new no travel in province restriction, Atlantic region has required quarantine . All this is easy seen on search, but you did not bother. instead, you make false allegation of gaslighting.
Another factually incorrect claim. Why do you make such false innuendo? What is your motive?
You aksk where sick and dying are? Go to a local hospital and you will see. Turn on news from SE Asia and you will see the thousands of dead and dying.
You So all those people in hospitals in USA, Canada, EU, Thailand, South America and now India are imaginary? The tens of thousands dying in india are fiction? The need for field hospital in Thailand is made up? The crisis declared in Tokyo because of infections is imaginary too?
Why are you making reference about suicide? Where is your evidence? If you do not have facts why make claim? In the countries that have looked at suicides they show no increase. On the contrary, I can easily find two countries that had more extensive lockdowns had no negative impact on suicide rates. NOTHING.
Covid-19: Suicide rate 'did not rise during first lockdown https://www.bbc.com/news/health-56818876
Many assumed suicides would spike in 2020. So far, the data tells a different story https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/suicides-alberta-bc-saskatchewan-canada-2020-no-increase-1.5902908
I remember reading last year 2500 Thais committed suicide due to the economic losses. That was a year ago, I can only imagine the number has risen substantially since then. Prove me wrong! How many Thais have died of covid, around 100 verse how many have committed suicide, you do the math friend and let us know. BTW, our hospitals aren’t full of covid patents over here. I know two friends who committed suicide due to losing their jobs due to the lockdowns. I don’t know or heard of a single person in my friends business aquatinted, and family who has died of covid. If you are under the age of 80 you have close to 99.9% of not dying from the World Wide Illness.

It’s obvious isn’t it? I wonder how many world wide pandemics have arisen from the 1000’s of wet markets in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos? Why do they always come from China?

You misread the article. Although the article did mention that, in Thailand, all positive cases receive medical care, there is no mention of asymptomatic individuals being admitted to ICU.
How do you treat people who aren’t sick? What the beds for, if you are asymptotic?
-
I hear about “cases”, where are the sick and dying? Would it be fair to say far more people have died from suicides due to economic hardships than the virus?

Amazing, do you really think they are providing ICU care for asymptomatic people? Have you ever questioned your logic on this? I would if I were you.
Just quoting the article my friend.

The field hospitals appear to be empty. They look as empty as the field hospitals that were set up in the USA, and the ship Trump sent to NYC.
I wonder how exactly they “treat” cases? Back in my day they treated the sick who had symptoms.

They need ICU beds for “cases” people who show no sickness or symptoms, and no one questions this logic? AMAZING!

What next? Nothing good can come of of the future for Americans in Thailand except buckets and bags of Benjamins.

Yes the USA China is vital to the future of the world.
Not looking good.
To add people should understand that the current US ambassador to Thailand is a republican party lackey political appointee. Not a trained diplomat.
I'm pretty sure you believe all republicans are lackey's. I believe most democrats are corrupt.
US China relationship not looking good? Duh! How can you have a relationship with them, they break every agreement they make. Hong Kong for instance. The world is awakening to the real face of China. Hope Thailand wakes up soon, before it's too late.- 1

Now that the angry, bitter old man is gone, America can elect a decent, honorable, smart, and very capable leader, who may be able to bring the nation back from the brink of isolation. Biden will make a good president, and he will bring back some dignity the office, after years of P.T. Barnum. Trump already lost the election. Covid knocked him out in the first round.
Except his approval numbers went up. Good theory though.
