  1. I had a few issues with Groupon Th.

Staff were not correctly trained and monitored.

    Lessons were not learnt.

Now they are no longer operating in Th

However, Groupon head office still has responsibility, as they announced in the media.

The "small print" re a voucher from a 3rd party is trickey.

She will need to push head office and the company where she redeemed the voucher.

Best chance will be Head office

  2. Cook bird breast side down. All the juices flow down through the breast. Foil under breast shiny side down. Cover rest of bird later esp wings.

Stuff in neck area. Can also work stuffing over breast a little between skin and meat.

Put lemon, celery, onion, herbs, whatever you feel like inside body cavity.

Jib let's for basic stock. Deglaze pan and use stock for gravy.

    Let bird rest before carving.

Remove legs and wings. Carve as best you can. If tendons have been removed it makes life much more simple.

To carve, verticle slices starting from outside of breast inwards. Cut vertically straight down to rib cage and work towards breast bone.

Where the legs meet the body on the underside you will discover the oysters. Possibly the best part of the bird.

  3. I'd steer clear from the Ford's, they have a horrible throttle on the recent models with a big delay on it which can cause problems, especially when trying to move slowly or edge out at a junction for example.

All Ford models or just the Ranger ?

A throttle box fixes the delay on the Ranger and is plug and play.

Turbo lag on Vigo minimal. However, wonder if we can get similar box for Vigo. Increase power, hardly required and also economy.

  4. I bought a new Vigo 4 door 4wd 3 years ago.

Put 1/3 down and pay the rest monthly.

    Very low interest rate.

Perfect car for Thailand. Servicing is cheap. Dealers everywhere. More economic than a Toyota Vios in terms of fuel costs. My friend and I have taken her Vios from Samui to Ranong and ack and my Vigo on the same trip. Vigo cost slightly less.

Strong. Check out Jeremy Clarckson on top gear trying to destroy one. After numerous other crazy tests he put it on top of a 30 story building that was then demolished by controlled explosion. They dug it out the rubble and it still ran. OK chassis had broken a bit but the cab had become the monocoque.

    Very safe.

I am not normally a new car buyer but here in Thailand it makes huge sense.

Completed 60k in it. At 60k it needed new brake pads and the discs milled marginally to correct small run out on discs. Total cost for service including all fluids and filters etc was 6k

Comfortable, I like the auto, and just so practical as so many have said.

  5. I have a 15 X 6 metre poo at an average depth of 1.5 metres and it took 14 trucks to fill it up. You're probably looking at 25-30 trucks.

OK - without talking specific liter amounts - how much did you pay per truck - thank you for this valuable info that will enable me to ballpark the cost to fix this problem - cheers

Cost per truck depends on volume of water, strangely!

Some pools require a check valve in the system. It is not unknown for these to fail. Before filling pool check for leaks everywhere.

  6. Loads of advice. Not read it all. Ground appliance direct. (All parts) ground distribution box and on neutral. Ground shower and any othe metal bodied appliance direct.

A word on grounding, get good rods into ground. Fill hole with carbon mix keep wet. Unfortunately, water comes in plastic pies these days so not so east to do. You can use the actual water but it may not work. Earth leakage trip. Protect yourself.

Yes, as someone stated earlier, flow of electrons is from neg to pos. that is why we ground through neg as well as earth if you are lucky enough to have one.

  7. Soi Cowboy on a Friday night can fill your weekend. Purchasing gold for your new found friend is a must. Then move on to all the awesome shopping malls. Eating is, of course, a prerequisite at regular intervals. Sleep will be required from time to time. 8.00 till 10 is TV time then out again until the early hours. Theme park next day. Never forget the format for first day which must be included every day. Day 3 trip to beach on remote island. Day 4. She disappeared. Rest. Back to Soi Cowboy next Friday if wallet will allow. 555

  8. Whilst it is admitted that there is a potential hazard from Salmonella in their droppings there are far greater hazards out there. They are your friends. Imagine. How many insects they eat is reflected in the level of poo.

Easy to brush up as it is normally dry. Flies, mosquitoes etc. all poo. You can just see the Gheko poo easier. Just think of it as they are consolidating poo and making your job easier.

  9. Has anyone done this on a motorbike?

Do this trip every 2 or 3 weeks. Not on bike Iadmit. Great road. Bit boring for the first sector to Surat but next 3 sectors awesome. Surat to Khao Sok national park. Possible stop over. Khao Sok to Khura and then Khura to Ranong. Scenery changes all the time. Mountains, 2 sectors, can get rain. Roads mostly good and getting better. Watch out for dogs on a bike. Also children.

On a bike depends on what speed you ride for first sector. Through Surat if you cruise less than 120k
