Thailand is still a magnet for tourists.  Theses experts are delusional,

and now they appreciate expats.  Prove it by making the immigration process less troublesome

I don't understand why so many are complaining about Immigration, I go once a year for 30 minutes and 90 reports on line which takes 5 minutes, what's the big deal ????????

I'd like to donate blood too but I assume I can't walk into any hospital and just get them to do it. If it was simple I'd pop into my local hospital and give them my A negative blood when needed.

I've donated for years at my local Thai government hospital, its simple. Take your passport, answer a questionnaire, they take a tiny pin <deleted> sample to check your iron, when you donate, they take 2 small test tube samples also, obviously to check for HIV etc. Raspberry drink and choco biscuit on completion

@Mr Meeseeks glad its all working out for you. your name should be mr ME ME ME

I don't know if you've ever noticed but here in Thailand it has always been me me me. I read once on FB, don't post your problems on FB as 80 percent of your friends don't care and the other 20 percent are glad you have them. That about sums it up, and btw, I am sick and tired of listening to people about their visa situation, go home, the famine is over ????????????????????????

  4. In Lamai, on Koh Samui about 7, 7-Elevens have shutdown, probably never to open again, has no one ever heard of the term "over provision" When the pandemic is over Thailand and especially the islands will rebalanced, the farang dead wood has gone already, maybe people need to realise that you don't really need 30 7 Elevens is a small area and a couple of hundred bars on one Soi, what may come of this is a bit quality instead of quantity ????

  5. Move to one of these countries, if you are not happy with your pension not increasing. As far as the amount you get, you pay to play. In Germany, they contribute about 20 percent of their pay towards their pension. In the UK, you do not ????????????

Countries the UK has a social security agreement with

The UK has agreements with some other countries to protect the social security rights of workers moving between the 2 countries.

These are sometimes known as ‘bilateral agreements’ or ‘reciprocal agreements’.

If you live in one of the following countries and receive a UK State Pension, you will usually get an increase in your pension every year:

Tough but understandable move by the government. The Thais knew what they were dealing with and responded appropriately.

Yes, some foreigners would have respected the  self isolation requirements and yes some have legitimate reasons to return,  Unfortunately, there are alsoforeigners up to no good without  the financial means or health insurance to  take care of themselves. Some would not have respected the self isolation. Thailand did not have the means or resources to manage that exposure. Because of a few duds, everyone will suffer.  And please, no lectures on how  this is unfair when  we see in the forums the stories of how some farangs  play the system  and cheat. Sorry to the many people who  are suffering, but this is the  cost of tolerating scum who are often excused away as poor hard done folk. All it takes is a few selfish gits landing from  Italy, Russia, USA. UK to spread death and disease.

Correct, so you are away from your family for a few months, big deal, spare a thought for submariners that go on 3 month patrol and don't see anyone

It's NOT those that arrived after March 1 that are in real trouble, as they can still apply for the 30-day 'normal' extension with relatively little paperwork.

But it's those that arrived before March 1, and already 'used up' the normal 30-day extension they were provided.  The requirements to apply for the 'emergency covid-19' 30-day extension are preposterous and for many even impossible to meet (e.g. the owner of the place where you are staying, has to be with you when applying for that emergency extension).

It would be funny, if the consequences were not so devastating for those confronted with this bureaucratic madness.

You can only <deleted> with the cock you've got ????????????????????
