95% sure this dude was getting a visa in savanaket last week. Showed another visa runner images of K.I.T and if it was not him he has a doppelganger and a half claiming to live in Chiang Mai. Even sounded like him. Same glasses even an image of him wear the t-shirt he had on.

I was in savannaket 2 days ago. Everyone accepted baht. Came back with 170k kip.

Did a hop to Savanaket from Khon Kaen last week.
Savanaket IMO is an absolute last resort. Id rather pay double and go further. The dogs at night are on another level and the place is sleepier than a graveyard and overpriced for food, food is lacking there apart from the glorious bread.
Vientiane seemed much more competitive and the range of food available was tastier and better value.
Took a bus from KK terminal 3 to Mukdahan. 5.5 hours. Departed 2.30pm arrived 8pm.
170 baht -
Spent an evening in mukdahan stayed at submukda hotel which is in the bus station.
409 baht. Really nice for the price.
6am. Awoke, walked toward friendship bridge 2, to cross to laos
Luckily, a samlor passed me and for 100 baht took me the 6km to the bridge.
I could have took a bus for 50 baht from bus station to the bridge but I was not aware of that option at the time.
At bridge paid 50 baht and crossed using the bus.
Paid 1500 baht and got Laos visa.
Caught samlor from bridge to consulate.
140 baht.
Paid 100 baht and had the app form completed directly over the road from the consulate.
Completed step 1 of app process by 9.15am after passing through gates for consulate which opened at 9am
Provided:
Passport
Application filled out
2000 baht
Child BC & Copy
Mother ID copy & signed
Housebook copy mother and child
Housebook me.
Child BC was not taken. Only shown and copy was taken.
Collected next day at 2pm was on way back to bridge by 2.25pm.
Caught 4pm bus back to khon Kaen and was home by 8.30pm.
As smooth as the process may seem I'd much prefer Vientiane.
Spent less than 7000 baht on that run all in.

2. Sentosa- stacked up family with 6 weeks of nappies and 144 cartons of milk.
3. Mom and pop shop - 15 x 6 litre bottles of water.
4. Ensure lady123 has all knowledge of all accessible funds.
5. Booked flights to bkk and bkk to Heathrow. 24 hours to depart.
6. Packed my 2 pairs of jeans, laptop. 5 pairs of socks 7 pairs of pants, 1 jumper 1 jacket and 3 T-shirts, my UK sim card a passport.
Arrived in Heathrow Sunday morning 6am.
3 weeks later, returned.
