Why do Thai prisons still practice absolute squalid conditions that breach human rights? It's almost a death sentence to be in some of those prisons for any length of time. This country has a lot of growing pains to go through

Well it is a magnificent deterrent why should people who flaut the laws of any country be treated better than law abiding people? But i guess theres some that see killing other humans as turn the other cheek or something...cant do the time dont do the crime !!

  2. If you believe the bull <deleted> and lies of any of them you are too gullible, they cannot deliver from a democratic vote because no doubt it will curtail all the back handers and freebies so to believe any of them is insane and frankly idiotic...don't get sucked in by their false claims

  3. We have just got a uk spouse visa, we supposed to collect the biometrics card within 30 days so we came back to UK 3 days before the vignette in her passport ran out with them threatening a possible fine of up to £1000 or a reduction time of her visa or maybe to cancel the visa if not collected by the deadline date. We went to collect it with 2 days to spare only to find out that the post office that uk visas and immigration had given us had been closed for 2 years, you couldn't make it up so despite the deadline coming and indeed going we are still waiting to find out where we have to collect it from!!

As you’re aware she can use her Thai licence in the UK for up to twelve months from the date of arrival, she should obtain a UK licence during that period.

She needs to have a full five year Thai licence.

An International Driving Permit is not required.

  6. There are some guys who fall in love with a dream of fluffy bunny rabbits at the drop of a hat then they find out the real world isn't like that, if someone has a bad experience rather than blame the immediate problem they blame the whole picture, for instance someone gets a 'wrong doing' by someone on a motorbike then they hate all motorbikes sadly this is a rather large percentage of our population.

If you feel happy and can afford to live a comfortable life in Thailand then why would you want to come back to England, don't get me wrong I like my country but we all have gripes, ie cost of living, damp dull horrible weather etc so if you're happy there stay and come back during the summer if you must for a visit because its obviously a little less damp and dull here. If you lived in paradise (wherever that may be) people would always find things to gripe about nowhere is perfect so decide on what your criteria is, you have already said you feel more motivated to get up and do something in Thailand so I think you have more or less answered your own question...
