  1. Group of golfers thinking of going to Ayutthaya beginning of March 2018.  Would appreciate suggestions on accommodation that is clean, reasonably priced, near the sites/town for non golfers, preferably with a pool and about 10 rooms.  Also recommendations on golf courses, reasonably priced, good condition within 30-40 minute drive.  Places to see, things to do locally for non golfers, can look things up on google but like little gems that people have found that are worth a visit.

Will look forward to receiving any tips and suggestions.

  2. We are a group of 20-30 golfers going on our annual trip to Hua-Hin 09.05 - 16.05.15. Usually have friends living in Hua Hin who assist with this information but this year no one to contact. We'd like to play Monday 11th May - Majestic, Tuesday 12th May - Sea Pines, Thursday 14th May - Banyan and Friday 15th May Black Mountain. Playing these courses on those dates can be altered if there are any "sports days" available during 09.05-16.05.15?. Advice on course conditions and idea of price per round + buggy price during that week would be much appreciated. Can anyone suggest who to contact at each course to book? Thanks in advance.

  3. Anyone have experience of lost & found at Suvarnabhumi airport?

Brief outline - Friend travelled back to Denmark with China Airlines in February. He had pre paid for his golf clubs but they said he hadn't and wanted 35,000 THB for them to travel with him. He decided against paying this and asked them to deliver them to him in Denmark. His golf clubs have not been delivered and China Airlines don't want to know, they have suggested he contacts lost and found at Suvarnabhumi airport. I have all the details including a picture of him with his golf bag, copies of his baggage tag, copy passport etc. I can go to Suvarnabhumi Airport lost and found what are my chances of being successful and what paperwork would I need to take it away with me? Would I need an appointment to visit or can I just turn up?

    Any suggestions please?

  4. Friends coming to Jomtien for holiday 31.12.14 - 10.03.15 (flights booked so definite dates). Been looking for a one bedroom condo/apartment (not studio) since April, told then too early to book start looking December. Would like Pattaya facing (non sunny side) particularly like View Talay 5C, the 3 cornered View Talay one by Shennigans, View Talay 2A or somewhere near Soi 5 Jomtien. Realistic price please, suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

  5. Can anyone advise what the beaches are like now on Koh Samet after the oil spills last year? Not been there since 2001- any suggestions on best choice of beach and accommodation there?

Also thinking of going to Koh Chang - best choice of beach and accommodation there?

Would it be sensible to book a room before arriving or lots of availability beginning of December 2014?

  6. We are a group of golfers visiting Chiang Rai for a few days in October. Not sure on arrival date but will be around 22nd-25th October. Will require around 20+ rooms, not everyone plays golf so would appreciate information on places with a swimming pool. Would also like someone near night market etc. Might have a free day or half day whilst there & would like to drive around the area, don't want to go too far and have seen the White Temple and Boon Rawds Singa Park 15km south of Chiang Rai are they worth a visit or would appreciate other suggestions but not too far a drive.

  7. We are a group of golfers going to Hua-Hin next week (17-24.05.14) and looking to play at 4 of the following 5 courses - Banyon Tree, SeaPines, Springfield, Majestic & Palm Hills. Can you advise the present condition of these courses and if there are any expected changes (holitising etc.) between now and 24.05.?

We'd like to play at Black Mountain but have been quoted ridiculous green fees especially for low season, any suggestions for obtaining lower fees at this course would be appreciated!

    Thanks

  8. Hi,

Just been looking at previous posts, slightly different requirements to Jumpybongo as follows -

Travelling with a group of friends approx 14 of us (couples) to Chiang Mai in September 10th-17th. My head is spinning after looking at all the sites regarding accommodation so wonder if anyone can give us some suggestions/recommendations?

Looking for 7 Double rooms in Night Bazaar area, ideal accommodation would be small guest house/hotel that has a swimming pool and is clean.

Raming Lodge has been recommend to us and this looks good, been in touch with them and can get a pretty good rate - any thoughts on this, anyone stayed there recently, good points/bad points?

Your suggestions/recommendations would be much appreciated.

    thanks

    Lyn
