Legally it requires done, but practically there will be no issue as it's not checked on departure.
Great, this was my assumption. Thanks for the response.

I am currently on a 1 year extension with my final 90-day notification on Oct. 10, and the extension finishing on Oct. 31.
Question: If I have a flight to leave Thailand on Oct. 15, am I still required to do the 90-day notification on Oct. 10? Or can I just head out on the 15th and terminate my extension?

You should be able able to get a credit advice for each transfer showing they came from abroad from KBank. Immigration will accept those as proof.
I've heard its possible to get a credit advice through email, is this true?

How will you be proving your 40k baht monthly income?
If you are from a country whose embassy still does a proof of income document that will be accepted. If not then you will you will need to prove 12 months of transfers from abroad that are 40k baht or more.
Yes, I have 12 months of transfers from abroad through Transferwise.
This is the step that I usually get caught up on though. The last time I tried to use Transferwise, I showed the transfer receipts from Transferwise for 12 months and was rejected the extension, so I ended up having to go through an agent.
What is the proper way to prove 40k/month income through Transferwise? I have already requested that Trasnferwise send my transfers to KBank, which is my bank, and have it marked for long term stay in Thailand. However, I am not sure how to legitimize these transfers with Thai immigration.
Thanks for the help! I really appreciate it.

Has anyone successfully received a 1 year extension of a family/marriage visa from Samut Prakan immigration office using the 40k per month method?
I am currently coming to end of a 1 year extension of a family visa. I am married, so a marriage is also possible. My family and I plan to be in Thailand for another 8-10 months, so another 1 year extension seems like the only/best option.
I am open to any other ideas or suggestions you guys may have.

No worries. Filed I-130 in July of last year. It should have gone to Nebraska service center but unfortunately got sent to Vermont for some reason which has way longer wait times. In February I contacted my senator's office back home, asked if they could assist (because there had been no progress for 8 months). Filled out a form with them, and they lit a fire under USCIS and my I-130 got approved and case sent to NVC two weeks later. Took us about a month to get all the paperwork and everything sorted here, then submitted visa application about a month ago. Less than 10 days later we were 'documentarily approved'. So now we're just waiting on the bangkok embassy to schedule the interview.
Hope that helps.Any updates on the interview?

I and many others have used the transaction slip that you can download from TransferWise's website as unequivocal proof that the bank deposit originates from abroad.
I used them for my marriage extension last year and shall be doing the same again later this month. IOs are now quite familiar with them.
Which IO do you go to that allows the transferwise transaction slips?

Does anyone have any experience at CW immigration with obtaining a 1 year extension to a Non-O Visa based on Thai Child, using 40k per month income as financial proof? Thanks for any insights.

Anyone else experiencing internet outages right now with 3bb in Samut Prakan or Bang Na area?

Ended up just doing the 60 day extension to take advantage of the shorts queues. Got queue 25 and was in and out within an hour. I was hoping they would extend the visa from April 30th, but they extended from my visa expiration date which was April 12th. Overall easy process and peace of mind getting it out of the way.

My Non-O is expiring April 12th. I was planning on going to do a 60-day extension because of the short queues in BKK. However, do you guys think it would be worth waiting until April 30th, or whenever the automatic extensions end, to do the 60-day extension? (I'm not looking to do a 1 year extension). Thanks

Did anyone else notice their electric bill from MEA increase noticeably this month? Mine increased by over 1,000 baht with no real change in electric usage in my home. Few of my neighbors have noticed the same thing.

Does know where to find an up to date holiday calendar for the embassy in Vientiane? I checked their calendar on their website and it does not display dates after the end of February.

Alright, Thanks.

Does anyone know how far out in advance these flights can be booked? I looked on Vietjet's website today for flights in late May/early June, and there are currently no flights available.
Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: Successfully got the visa. Whole process was nice and streamlined. Between dropping off the paperwork and picking up the visa the next day, I spent about 45 minutes at the embassy in total. Bank Statement was asked for, however no specific amount was requested. It was looked at very briefly by the IO. I had about 70k in the account, showing monthly deposits over the past 6 months. I am not sure if a 6 month bank statement is required, but I'm sure it helps. Overall, quick and easy process.

For me i go to vientiane because i want to be away for as short as time as possible.I live in Phuket and i get the 2.30 pm flight to Udon.Arrives at 4.20 pm.Get on mini bus 45 mins to border.Get to my hotel around 6.30 pm.Next day embassy in morning then the following day pick up passport at 1.30.Get taxi to border then another one back to udon airport to catch the 4.50 pm flight direct to Phuket.Arrives 6.40 pm.Leave bike at airport Home by 7.45pm. All flights and hotel around 5500b. Not been any of the other destinations you mentioned but have had a look and i would be struggling to beat the price or time spent at all of them. The bank statements are not much of a problem as everyone needs money here especially with a child.
Yes this is my reasoning too. Vientiane is also a nice laid back city that is easy to get around.

Just returning from Vientiane. Single o visa as father of child. Was no 6 and was in and out in 5 mins yesterday and today. When approaching window to check documents I passed my bank statements first then followed by all other docs. Had 6 month statement from bkk bank showing about 38000b in it and about 370000 in and out in the last 5 months. All went well was through the border by 2.30pm and now getting on the 4.50 pm back to Phuket. Good luck to all
Great thanks for the info. My financial documents look very similar to yours so we will see what they say. My appointment is next week, will report back then.

Yes queue #1. So this will either benefit me or be my downfall. Hopefully they will be more lenient early in the day. But I'm prepared for all scenarios. Will report back later.

Thanks for the help.

I'm already at the end of my 60 day extension.
Is financial proof hit or miss recently when it comes to having a Thai child? And if they do ask I'm assuming it is the same as marriage, 100k?
-
Wondering to see if anyone has any recent reports of obtaining a Non-O visa based on a Thai child in Vientiane. I just want to make sure I have an updated list of the requirements before I leave next week. Thanks for the help in advance.

Does anyone have any experience recently applying for the O visa based on thai child? Were you also asked for a bank statement?
