Answer is simple. I don't do online banking. The card A/C I se has a limit but I always use cash You even have to watch the Banks. Had a American Express Platinum Card once always paid on time , one day statement showed late payment, dash down to their branch who put me through to HQ. They said the it had not been paid Branch said Yes we have received it and sent it to you. HQ insisted it had not been paid and I was therefore in arrears. Branch said well we have a stamped receipt here showing it paid. Nothing more from HQ A/C paid. Had I not had that piece of paper I would have been unable to prove payment and would have had to cough -up another 195,000Bht. SO AWAYS CKECK STATMENTS AND AWAYS GET A RECEIPT. I AWAYS ADVISE PEOPLE WHEN DEALING WITH ANY COMPANY GET NAME. AND RECORD DATE TIME PLUS BRIEF VERSION OF WHAT WAS SAID.

A sensible system of fines and punishment plus prison sentences is the answer. Yes it will take a few tears but in the end it will reduce some or most of the carnage. Two wrongs don't make a right. I use to have fun haggling over ten Bht They would say Mai di I would say ok you died go to walk away they would say OK you buy. Then I would give them the 10 Bht back. On a serious note I alwys tipped never had problem . But alway agree price BEFORE-HAND. If you don;t like walk away. Simply Don't forget to smile

Firstly if you respect the Country's culture, you are 90% there. Secondly a little humor goes a very long way , Specially in Thai thinking. If at the end you can't get through just walk away. When I did crowd control I used to joke with them to move them back by saying, my feet are very heavy not want to stand on yours if in hurry and not see, so they moved back and stayed there. Had I demanded they do this. Well you can guess the answer. Worked every time and the Thais were still smiling. So Live and let Live with respect.

Sadly there are two factures here. 1 The truck knows he is slow moving and 2 SPEED. To turn any vehicle over on it side never mind a truck can only mean that he was at speed and maybe also not paying full attention.
