I hate when people a specific amount of Tip for any type of Service performed.  I agree something should be given at a minimum but, For different levels of service there should be different levels of Compensation.  

I play a lot of golf in Pattaya and typically will not tip less than 200 Baht for a caddy who is useless and is disinterested, but will tip an outstanding caddy 4 - 500 baht and average 300 - 400 depending on how I played (JUST KIDDING).  

The point being is different levels of expertise and service should be rewarded accordingly.

Just an FYI, I have used transferwise and it is the most reasonable for transfers IMO.  However,  On my last trip I had opened a charles schwab account and they do not charge for Any ATM Withdrawals.  Both transferwise and Charles Schwab make money on the exchange rate they charge you.   No I did not make a comparison.   

I received a quote from AXA Insurance PCL.  I am 63 years old so it is higher than average.  The coverage is for 5,000,000 THB General Health Insurance including COVID 19 (100,000 USD) coverage and a certificate for Immigration.  100,000 THB per year.  I was shopping around for Health Insurance as well as the COVID coverage. 

FYI - The sales person mentioned it could be cancelled after arrival in Thailand.  

Hi, I was approved for an Elite Visa last week and it seems Thailand Elite Visa is in Talks with immigration for the curret issues to be workout out.  I will not be paying for the Thailand Elite Visa until it is, I have a 3 month window.

I applied on July 31 on Thailand Elite website and am waiting for approval.  I have since sent an email to the Washington Thai Embassy asking if they would issue a COE if I supplied all the correct documentation and the approval for the Elite Visa.  They stated several days ago that they DO NOT issue a COE for this type of Visa. Has anyone else contacted an Embassy regarding the Elite Visa and COE?

Hi, Is it possible to get a COE if a Thailand Elite Visa holder applies for entry and has all the correct documentation? I have read online it is acceptable but the Consulate Website says no.

Currently, the following types of visas are NOT permitted to enter Thailand: Tourists visa holders (TR), Transit passengers (TS), Sports visa holders (S), Monks and other religious visa holders (R), Retirement visa holders (O-A/O-X), Thailand Privilege Card holders (Elite card), Volunteers (O), and non-formal students visa holders (such as language schools, diving schools, boxing schools).
