I dont know that mutch about pigs .

But like u say u think that u spent around 180000 for food .

180,000 / 4 / 120 = 375 per pig/month

375 x 4 + 800 = 2300

--------------------------------- 30 -------- 35 ---- B/KG

91Kg x -------------------- = 2730 ------- 3185 B

- 2300 pig/food cost ------ = 430 -------- 885 B

x 120 pigs ----------------- = 51,600 ----- 106,200 B

/ 4 month (per month) -- = 12,900 ---- 26,550 B

hmm 5 b do make a diferent then agen this is just fore the food .. are some more expenses .. workwer,water,power,vet,gas,car, and more (( sorry for the spelling ))

I did last year buy 10 smal pigs fore 11,000 and my gf mom managet em , she then whent to the market and buyd pig food bags fore around 250 bhat/ bag like 5-6 every time ( hmm and i told em to buy like 30 -40 1 time ) any way 5 month later she sole em fore 38b/kg and i did get some money back butt nott all .

In the end she hade workt fore free so i gave here every thing think it whas aroun 31,000 B

So that 10 pig cost me 65,000 B ( 25,000 for the house )

Like many say about the pigs market , the key to make money on em is getting the food sheep ore make it ure self.

I have the last 8 month reading in this forum about farming and trying to see whitch one i whod like to try on 5 rai.

I dont live in thailand now . butt it whod be some thing fore my GF mom to do and make some money .

Its 3 things that gott me interested is:

1. Dragonfruit if i gott it right its about 350 Bhat / post and 750 post fore 5 rai = 262,500 baht

1 year u gett around 10kg / post ( 750 post * 10 kg * 20 baht = 150,000 baht year

2 year u gett around 50-75kg/ post ( 750 post * 50 kg * 20 baht = 750,000 baht year

3 year u gett around 100kg / post ( 750 post * 100 kg * 20 baht = 1,500,000 baht year

and thay last fore 20 year

2. Makua and this is around 62,000 months from 5 rai , 744,000 baht / year

3. Hoom ( onion ) is 5 rai u nead 1000 kg hoom , thats 1000kg * 40bhat = 40,000 baht .

3 - 4 months to grow u gett 5000 kg - 1000 kg to re grow thats 4000 kg * 40 baht = 160,000 baht ( thats 480,000 - 640,000 baht / year )

Question: Dose this looks right ?

What i know about the hoom is that u gett 5 time what u putt inn , so fore 5 rai u nead 1000 kg and u gett 5000 kg after 3 - 4 months.

You nead to give it water 3 -4 times every weeak , and u gett around 35 - 45 bhat / kg.

Its my GF brother that told me this.

Some one told me that u can make about 800 - 1000 Bhat/ pig

I whanted to try this so we buy 10 pigs fore 11,000 bhat

and thay whent to the town and gott some pig food .

My question is can u make mone from pigs if u have to buy all the pig food ?

Pig 1000 - 1200

Food 500 bhat/ bag at start fore the small pigs

after 3-4 weeks its the cheaper food around 250 bhat/ bag

This started in sep so thay are around 18 weeks now and when i whas in thailand last week thay whas around 80 kg .

so when i do the mat its 35,000 baht i payd so far and if i gett 40 Bhat / kg its gona be 80 * 40 * 10 = 32,000 bhat

Thats - 3,000 ( + 21.000 fore the pig house butt that im nott dona sell )

So now when i read here i see that there is a way to make money from pigs

(( its my girlfrinds mom that have manage the pig ))
