Hi
My Thai girlfriend has recently got a Visit Visa for UK (thanks for help and advice here on that!). I'm looking to book her a one way flight to UK, with plan to fly back together to Thailand early next year - maybe via Phuket if the sandbox is open and working well.
She will be flying this time from Bangkok, and if I get a return ticket to Bangkok, she may have to pay to go into state quarantine (it's now being charged for according to my girlfriend), instead of going to Phuket sandbox.
That's why I want to get just a one way ticket for now, but don't want her to have any problems getting her flight, or at UK Border control.
Wondering if anyone has any experiences with this, or any advice about what's best to do?
Thanks,
Paul

Hi, thanks very much for your thoughts on this issue - I was thinking along the same lines, so will do my best to get across that she is not aiming to live in UK via the visas.
Keep safe,
Paul

As long as she is in an age group that are eligible for a vaccine in the UK, then her local GP service can help her get a vaccine sorted out. Further guidance can be found at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/covid-19-migrant-health-guide#:~:text=Accessing COVID-19 vaccination without an NHS number,-Individuals do not&text=While registration with a GP,through a local GP practice.

Hi - I've visited my girlfriend in Thailand three times between July 2019 and March 2020. She successfully got a Uk visa March 2020 and flew back to Uk with me. Due to Covid, she lost her job and ended up staying in Uk for 7 months - got exceptional assurance granted for the extra time on top of the 6 month visa.
I had hoped to visit Thailand this Spring, but Uk lockdown prevented this. Now, as I have UK commitments for some of rest of 2021, planning to apply for my girlfriend to come to Uk in July 2021 for 6 months, in the hope that by January, things may be better in Thailand re quarantine, vaccinations etc.
I understand that they don't like people taking extended periods of time in UK, but wanted advise as to whether planning a 6 month second visit is wise, or whether 6 months is too long and likely to be rejected. I plan to include about future plans to visit Schengen countries (her sister is in Switzerland), and my hope to return with her to Thailand in January (I will include my previous passport stamps to show my regular travel to Thailand.
Thanks for any advice - much appreciated!

Hi
My thai girlfriend currently visiting me in Uk with visa expiring September.
She was due to return to Thailand May, but flight cancelled, so rebooked for September with BA
Am expecting BA September flight to be cancelled any day now - so will then have to look at repatriation flight for her from London, via Thai London embassy.
Does anyone have any recent info re. how easy it will be to get her a ticket on a September repatriation flight - is there more demand for tickets and a waiting list, or is it easy to book once they are released?
Does anyone know if August repatriation flights from London to Bangkok sold out, and if so, how quickly?
Currently we just have the uncertainty of (probably) no flight and a visa expiring in September - any info (even that demand is so high we might be waiting months) would give us some more idea of what's likely to happen.
Tried emailing London Thai embassy but got a generic reply only from them!
Thanks,
Paul
What is Best Insurance for Thailand Pass?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

Hi, I've just booked flight for January, and will apply for a 60 day e-visa. I need travel insurance (including for pre-existing conditions), and wondered which firms offered good cover, and were also acceptable for the Thailand Pass? Many thanks,
Paul
