Why bother with all that hassle when Transferwise is around half of one percent total cost?

I tried the crypto way already. It's very expensive.

    Den

Exactly! This sounds like a very dodgy scam I will not ever use these volatile instruments or their pump and dump scammers who fleece retail investors

Transferwise, or interbank wire transfer works fine. Don't need crypto its a total con

  2. Junk rubbish in my humble opinion total <deleted> on wheels they failed in uk years ago making the worst rust buckets in the world, and someone bought the brand here!

Best to buy mercedes from the dealer directly as it's only 800k for a certified pre-owned from 2015 with warranty. Only buy benz for road car or toyota / isuzu in thailand for pickup. The rest is <deleted>

  3. You can only be the owner or investor but you must get a business visa not a tourist visa

As a business owner you can operate the facility but you cannot accept money from a thai and you must have a partner who owns 51%

You are prohibited from actually working but as an investor / owner you can be present and conduct managerial stuff like working on a laptop or ordering stock etc

Preparation of food or working as cashier is strictly prohibited even with the business visa and work permit unless a specialist food and you will need a form of certification in the field to obtain the work permit now so look at getting a italian / european food setup and get a certification in food prep from online then go apply for work permit and you can obtain a business visa first by buying one in a neighbouring country I recommend using Singapore as its very efficient place

Alternatively you can just purchase an existing business and allow thais to operate it completely whilst having a contractual agreement or access to the banking account you must register with the business department and get a corporate bank account to achieve this route alot of my friends have found this the easiest then partnership formation

  4. You are just getting lost in translation you simply must follow the procedure ('simply' i know its not exactly easy nor digitalised but it is simple if you speak thai)

You will need a lease and copy of all the particular documents then just file it as normal

Dont take a no as a rejection it is simply your application is not following by the 'simple' rules

It's easy when you know how

Worth spending a few thousand baht on a thai assistant give half up front and half on completion of your visa

    Do not use chinese

I don't understand. Why would your landlord give you a copy of his TM.30 report on you, and why would you think you would have to have a copy to do anything at Immigrations? The TM.30 report, as is my understanding, is the responsibility of the landowner, not yours. Again, in my understanding, you do have a responsibility to fill out and file a TM.28 and keep a copy of that.

Is my understanding of these two forms incorrect?

Yes exactly land lord must provide that as its all on their shoulders im not sure if they understood maybe will be ok with that immigration? very odd indeed

  6. Have a friend who was invested there. He was not profitable for the past 3 years and cannot find a buyer there is no one in the market and they cannot pay the fee's no more so its game over really

The girls are getting insane all of them lived at the bar and the lady boys even worse constant issues he couldnt afford to keep it running so its closed now

  7. They dont want to renew the SEC license for trading so I assume either a - the SEC has given a huge increase and its not profitable b - huobi coming means competition and he just isnt up for the fight

Or of course there is c - they know something we dont about the future of crypto which I know you will hate me to say but I am very very bearish on but that is because of technicals and probabilities

When the creator of Ethereum himself warns that the chain is nearly full and states BTC has the same fate

When the alleged creator of BItcoin if forced to pay half of his possibly non-existant holdings over to Klienman's estate you have to think... hmmm

The good thing is I don't bother playing with it as Gold is good enough and has performed excellent on 500x leverage with my fully certified broker that sponsors premiership football teams (yawn) Sorry guys but really why do you trade this <deleted>? I totally understand for sending money abroad its actually the best option and you cannot argue on that but trading it - come on all it takes is one big wallet holder to dump the markets and all the little boys with their trading view / youtube gurus and oscillators start getting a 'signal' and then going short on the slot machine that is bitmex

Well I know i wont win any friends with my opinion but atleast i said it. I know people holding btc from 20k

The word schmuck does come to mind but hey its their choice what they do with money. Now BX is going will it continue to trade in thailand or will people just long gold on leverage? $1800 is really in sight maybe even a new all time high

Buy a ETF use a bank - it wont ever go out of business....

  8. To ensure you can financially not become a burden on the country as there is no wellfare state and this is an emerging market so it helps to ensure while you stay your cash is essentially in a bond with the bank and they can use that for interim liquidity as they know you must hold it for 3 months or more to meet the requirement

It also keeps the riff raff out and trust me there is plenty of them about

When people have drunk it all and partied it away they will do anything to keep the party going - time to go home and work again or get a job here either way you cannot just beg it doesnt help anyone especially yourself

The house etc its all good you can just refinance that and use the capital for your visa but that is an illiquid asset so you must arrange liquid capital yourself

OP was talking about a 'fixed' deposit account, which if I believe correctly, you cannot ADD to initial amount or withdraw. So how can you do a transaction on the day you go to IO?

Yes that is correct its a fixed deposit - he's just confused with finance here maybe

Essentially a CD but fixed in term and amount by certain parameters

You can just use a savings account of course

  10. Buy the visa from hull immigration before you arrive - this gives you 3 months non-debatable entry you will get instant approval

Prepare 20k baht in your pocket incase asked for proof of cash

Learn some thai, smile and be friendly say you have fallen in love with the country - have a girlfriend - want to learn thai and you love the country

Their training is to look for poor and trouble makers, part of that is looking for people not smiling or in 'holiday mode' because this is a red flag that you are not what you say you are

There is absolutely no reason you cannot enter with tourist visa provided you have bought one before - if you wait for visa on arrival that is a bit iffy because it's like a last minute thing and really just use a 90 day visa before you arrive and you be all good

You can say you plan to do a education visa or open a business and are still doing research on your options - you can explain your girlfriends family plan to do a import export business or something be polite, wear a suit or dress well and be very friendly and open with nothing to hide you will have no problems my friend - manners go a very long way in thai culture

If you have a visa already you will be given entry as it is a legal status - so just buy one in hull its about £25 or so plus a signed envelope very quick and easy

  11. You just talk very calm and polite and you will get your own way just smile and make it very awkward for them with politeness and watch them squirm it takes maybe 2 to 3 minutes they have a very very low tolerance and cannot do confrontation - look them in the eyes and stand your ground - with a smile of course! and be very very polite

You can do anything you want that follows logic of natural law they are well aware of karma just trying their luck - like you say you are a rich farang

Very simple if you move to a new place what can he do he lost Tennant... voila you have the maximum leverage already you are his pay check

  12. You can count money and you can handle investments also - just the owner is thai that's all

For example you run a restaurant as long you have a thai partner you can even be a waiter just have to do it by the book - my friend is running one in bangkok for many years and handles all customers he just has a thai partner that's all.

  13. By default always easier use a regional immigration and not CW - very fast and simple process

Honestly the marriage visa was a good idea like u said if things go south at work just make sure you set it up at a small local office - CW is a nightmare avoid at all costs. The staff are so rude and I have had many run ins there and had to make many complaints all was sorted out in the end but we agreed dont use CW if possible - also if there is a protest in bkk then CW is shut down so by using a local office u got a good backup plan
